Man... Paul is a damn impressive player. That was a perfect game and it looked like he knew all of Marisol’s questions.
@chronos53854 жыл бұрын
Not getting knocked out, even technically, when your opponent records only the second 1.000 PPE game in Singles history (not even two weeks out from Bateman's) is mighty mighty impressive for a ROOKIE. Marisol is here to stay.
@craiglee54604 жыл бұрын
What’s the definition of “1.000 PPE game”? Genuinely interested. Thanks.
@chronos53854 жыл бұрын
Craig Lee For sure, PPE is what Frank uses to record ‘possible points earned.’ The phrase ‘perfect game’ has been (and will still be) debated, but at the very least, Ben and Paul have definitively gotten the first two 1.000 PPE matches (in Singles). edit: and Possible Points includes steal opportunities and not going to multiple choice in your R2.

Great match! Despite the loss today i'm continuing to become a bigger and bigger fan of Marisol. She's just straight up got star power and serious trivia chops. I wish she had had the opportunity to debut earlier in the season like Goddard and the Barbarian did and gotten some matches under her belt before making her way up to someone like Oyama. I think she absolutely would've had the opportunity to enter the rookie of the year conversation if that was the case. The Barbarian would probably still win it anyway but i do think she would show herself to be stronger than Goddard for example. I think she can make some real noise next season (hopefully in both singles and teams). I actually think the Cushing comparison is not quite right because Marisol has come into the league appearing very comfortable with character work as well. In terms of trivia yea she shows that early cushing kind of promise. But as an overall package i'm hard pressed to think of many others who've come into the league as fully formed as Marisol. In just these 2 matches i think she's made a strong case to go 1st or early 2nd round in the upcoming draft (i'd have to look at the league roster to really know, but that's my ballpark gut feeling). Great bounce back match from Oyama today! My heart was torn as i'm obviously become a fan or Marisol as well, but i am glad to see him get the win today rather than continuing the slide in singles. I think he's about to put together a big run here. I think he'll be able to handle Sneider again, and whoever comes out of the other side of the quad won't be as scary (no pun intended) as Kallinowski was supposed to be. I see Oyama making his way to a semifinals matchup against Erwin (probably).
@davidtwinn75194 жыл бұрын
Paul Oyama just one upped Bateman with a perfect game in 3 rounds! Definitely helped redeem his loss a little bit from spectacular 💯💯 don’t know why anyone was doubting him. 2x singles champ and only losses are to Rocha & Bateman. I have him making the finals against the Kid 🔥🔥

Spoilers We saw Oyama at his best today. And when he's at his best, he can beat anybody. A perfect game is damn impressive. I can't wait for him against Sneider; that's going to be epic. Good match overall for Marisol; even in defeat. There's a lot to like about Marisol's game and now that she's going to be in the teams toruney, I can't wait to see how she does. That said, Harloff comparing Marisol to Rachel Cushing after two singles matches is ludicrous. Obviously this is not Marisol's fault in any way. Harloff badly wants a female superstar player to fill the void left by Cushing, Wolfe, and Knopic; I get that. It's just plain stupid to compare someone with this small of a sample size to one of the four best players in Schmoedown history.
@bsbgirl854 жыл бұрын
Good match. That's the Oyama I love to see! He did the damn thing in this match, and it's just another example of how great of a manager Winston is as well (MOTY!) Like I said, newbies show how they really play when they face real players (cause Bonnie is a freebie match and always will be, especially when she still doesn't know the rules after all these years) and she did pretty well against Oyama. She's okay but she's not Rachel Cushing and never will be. Rachel will forever be the Queen and I will always hope she comes back to grace us with her class and elegance. Congrats to Oyama and SWAG again, especially with taking out another Korruption player. Can't wait for Oyama vs. Sneider, I still got Oyama on that but Sneider has always been a wild card. As always, go SWAG! *Waves pom poms*
