brandon cole. I know that, but I wished the heel work was little more thought out rather than just saying someone sucks. Like normally heels try to spin the narratives to make them look like they were slighted or doubted like Mike and Chance. Either that or it’s like it’s ingrained into how they play the game like a Chandreau. Jader hasn’t really done anything to anyone yet, so just trashing him to trash him kinda comes off as unsettling. I think the better approach would of been like a fake sense of pity like treating him like a lamb going out to the slaughter. Like play up the dysfunction of the droogs, and act like Jader is helpless. Shannon did that pretty effectively against Ken. But if you measure a heel by how many people don’t like you, her approach will work.

@Just_Ben_4 жыл бұрын
Genuinely curious, why do people think Roxy’s good on the mic? I always think her “digs” are very basic and she repeats the same stuff again and again. “You suck” isn’t really an inspired roast and it was starting to feel like she used the term “charity case” about a dozen times. Praising your competitors numbers and bashing their opponent’s number (which she does every match) almost feels like a parody of what a manager does. Also, think it’s worth pointing out that Alex Damon is responsible for 10 of the Roxstars total 12 points. If you remove Damon, the Roxstars are currently 1-6 with 2 points.
@sivad10254 жыл бұрын
I can pass off the smack talk. She's a heel so whatever. But she claims to be one of the best managers and claims that she hypes up her players... yet her players are not performing except Damon (who was awesome long before noting). It's also worth noting that Roxy lost 2 play-in matches 😬
@Just_Ben_4 жыл бұрын
Davis Parks I don’t have an issue with actual smack talk. Ghai, Shannon, Kalinowski, Napzok, Rocha, and others are great at it. I’m just saying that if you’re going to smack talk, maybe try something a little more creative and know how to direct it instead of just saying “He’s a charity case and he sucks” on loop.

I used to love Roxy until this match. I still love her outside of being a Schmoedown manager. She was my favorite part of Collider Live and I enjoy her livestreams. This episode for the managers was one of the strangest that exist because of Ken's isolation character that reached a peak with the promo before the Star Wars tournament but has shifted into this philosophizing man of nirvana since he was given the managerial reins. On the other side, you have Roxy, who I think is still one of the worst, if not the worst, managers because she isn't a tactician and now, her pump-up stuff has gotten a little stale; in this match, she was hurling the kind of insults at Jader that have the imagination of a toddler...or maybe the current president. So, for both, it was odd and not one of the faction leader battle of the titans Pretty good match overall. 2 things: Why was it that Vejvoda checked to multiple choice so many times in Round 2 when he said that he knew the answer? Also, there is no comparison of the 5-pointers and their difficulty as Jader had to guess the main bad guy from a popular Will Smith movie, and Vejvoda had to name the law firm, which is always titled after 3 or 4 peoples' last names, in a well-regarded but not quite as popular Tom Cruise movie. Maybe if they asked who the mob boss was that the FBI was investigating or what gift Will Smith bought for his wife that was interrupted by the tape transfer, or where he and Jason Lee went to school, but there was a clear discrepancy between those 5-pointers

Roxy is trying to be a heel but she is being the worst kind of heel. When all you do is say your opponent sucks and shouldn't be there you get in a no win situation. If you win then your player beat a nobody. It means nothing. If you lose then your player looks bad and you look like an idiot. What makes it worse is that none of it is clever.
