You missed one of the most important aspects of the scenarios: Xyp9x is a support player. He is often the one throwing set pieces and pop flashes, which Astralis LOVED. Because of this, him always being back keeps him at high HP, away from duels, and more likely to not die on entry like his teammates. While he is an insane clutch player, he also found himself in these scenarios playing his role to perfection; he wasn't like some players, who play back with hero AK and bait, but rather stepped up whenever his role was complete. (also, his support role means he often doesn't have util in clutch scenarios, forcing him to rely on duels rather than free kills)

If I were to compare Xyp9x to anyone in the CS history it would be Jakub 'kuben' Gurczyński, the player that many underestimated due to being a calm personality even tho he was the IGN for the golden five (ECS, AGAiN, Pentagram, MYM, Frag eXecutors). As well in the likes of a support star player I could compare them by their acomplishment. Both are amazing talents. The stories about these types of players are what interests me the most.
