@justadentify dual stance is unique.. there's troll. And his 8 spells are just a silence, a Basher, and copious amounts of damage incarnate. What they did with kez isn't creative, it's putting every good thing in EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS into 1 hero. I don't wanna sound rude, but honestly, if you've played against a kez it lately it feels so exhausting playing around him. There's no stage in the game where he's weak, and tbh, there's no point in itemizing cuz he has all he needs. That's why his best item is an SNY and a manta cuz that's all he really needs

Last IO games I saw were mostly Seleri from GAIMIN Gladiators, and they would pair it with Leshrac, Marci or Broodmother. Apart from that, it has been nerfed further and is a relic now. Wisp games wont come back till Leshrac is back.

@@justno808 Nerfed my ass, aside from the time when he had attack tethered ally's target at lvl 15, he is the strongest he's ever been, now that he's universal. People just don't know how to play it to make it work. Most just get a mekansm, stick to you the whole game, and act as a glorified fountain. That is the WRONG way to play it.

i'm sure someone should've already pointed this out, but the relocate/tp trick at 4:25 was silently patched out. the patch notes said something around fixing tp's not being cancelled if an interruption happened at the last channeling tick (?) without ever mentioning IO or the relocate ability. This trick was so iconic and the "fix" so unknown that many years later pro's still tried to do it with no success

IO is in DOTA while wisp is a builder on WC3, 2 different creatures. dota is not warcraft 3 and vice versa, it's just happen that dota was made using wc3 map editor with ofc wc3 sprites(unit models); these goes to every dota 2 heroes (valve fix the remaining heroes that has wc3 trademark names like WK, Centaur, WR, and etc). in different analogy Jack Sparrow and Willie Wonka aren't the same person just because they played by johnny depp.

@@soundzthevibewalker how small is ur brain? back then dota is just a game it doesnt need to have a lore, who know it will become big like it is rn? just as i said when u create a map (in this case wc3 editor) in wc3 editor u r limited to what sprites are in there, wisp only has 1 sprite, (or 1 unit model) so it doesnt matter if he is IO, wisp, or wisp king they will share that 1 sprite, it doesnt mean they are one just because they have the same model, like my "johnny depp" sample, i been playing blizzard games way before wc3 was release i tried to create a starcraft maps and played bunch of blizzard games

It is not ironic. Yuumi is designed to be a borderline uninteracable character. While IO is designed with interactability in mind: From having to manage the distance, the spirit, their positioning, who they are attaching to, where to relocate.

OG's two time championship is really outstanding. They had their first run full of doubts and linked to just being "lucky". The second run was literally just enjoying the game, like every match they had, just didnt feel like they were gonna lose. There was even 1 moment where ana(carry) bodyblocked his teammate resulting to their death. Mind you , every kill and death matters in TI because it can control how the game goes. Another point is, they won back to back, with the same squad. Team spirit did their back to back with a new member.

24:03 the helm of dominator basically just a "companion" to the IO for farming, so he could run around the map to farm solo. (and 4 others fighting buying time). Well, not solo, with the dominated creep.

Just get an aghanim if farm is what you're after. At lvl 15 you can one-shot a whole creep wave. Dominator was a solid choice when IO had 280 move speed, and before they reworked the neutral creeps, but now, with 320 ms, you don't really need it.

One of my favorite plays I've ever done was barely escape a Slardar who was punching me down as Io with like 100 HP left and then timing a tether to a creep to slam him with a spirit bomb and kill him instead.

If I hadn't made up my mind to play IO as a carry (BEFORE ANA, when he was severely underpowered, like -1 armor at lvl 1), I wouldn't be playing dota today. The secret is relying less on your teammates, and just tell them at the start of the game ''I'm going nuker, not healer, call me IOppenheimer''.

IO have very small damage, means GPM is low. Low GPM means every items should count. Critical for positioning and timing. Even if the carry is noob, as long as you baby sit them with IO, there is a chance you can still win.

I still remember when Io was added. One of the seniors in my high school in Pisay challenged me to a 1v1 with the two new heroes released. I got Io because he picked the other one (I think Slark) and I obviously lost badly. I have to tether a lane creep and farm for helm of dominator to get a centaur creep to tether to. Did not even get to that point. In hindsight, I did not use the orbs skill well. I was still the kind of noob who rushed perseverance during that time because I hate losing mana.

Actually, SEA teams more broadly, sadly. SEA Doto is professionally quite sad, but the fans are still stupidly amazing - ESL Bangkok was ridiculous even just watching on stream. Went to ESL Genting and it was just as stupidly crazy. Still hear the chants of "DJ, DJ, DJ!" in my sleep. That being said, Whitemon Indo pride, 23 Thai pride, JT and MoonMeander Malaysia boleh, Abed Pinoy Pride, and Poloson SG Pride. Really wish there was a healthier SEA competitive scene - we do have talent potential, but sadly no support on the ground. Just really want us to win something...
