This year's been one of the highest highs and the lowest lows, no in between. I had grown really close to a friend of mine. She'd always been someone who supported me and was always there to make me happy when I needed someone. We hung out a lot. She'd watch my (soccer) games and I'd watch her's. We'd hang out and talk during Spanish class. But it seemed to go higher than that for a second. I went to her flag football senior night (she's a grade above me) and it became a spectacle (we won in overtime). Her birthday arrived a few weeks later and as a gift, I gave her a drawing of our first photo together (my brother drew). It left her in awe, bringing us closer together than ever before. Later, prom comes around. The day of, I almost snapped my ankle from a challenge from an opponent. I was told that I had to skip prom due to this injury, but instead, I went with an ankle brace (I needed to wear a boot for a week). I danced with her for 3 hours and had the best night of my life, considering she wasn't even my date (I "went" by myself). Later that week, in the boot I had to wear, I confessed to her my feelings for her. I praised her for being such a good friend and believed that we could be something. However, she completely struck it down, saying she didn't want a boyfriend. (relevant later). I couldn't deal with it, feeling like I did all I could. Between summer and now, I asked her to just hang out a couple of times, but every time she said she "couldn't make it." Even to events that she said she "desperately wanted to go" like my own birthday party she never went to. Lastly, I asked her to come watch me, since I had a game on a day she didn't work. She casually said she couldn't go and even tried to get her boyfriend to take her. "Her. Boyfriend." Never in my life have I felt so distraught or so lacking a personality or identity. I truly felt worthless. All that I did for her. Gone. Wasted. I've done more for her than I could put in this comment. This last part happened literally yesterday. I still wonder what more I could've done. This song really moved me. It really helps me cope little by little with this situation. Considering I've been single my whole life and was no longer mentally stable, Better Days has influenced me to see the good behind it all. Although the lows hurt deeply and had more of an impact on my personal & mental well-being, this song is helping me push through this and move on. Thank you, The Score; the best band of all time ❤🙏🙏🙏 P. S.: - No one has really helped me with this honestly. I haven't had someone try to help me by just saying "Forget about it" or "Just move on, you'll get through it." Comments like these don't help. I ask for help, but it feels like they're saying to help myself, which is even more demotivating. - Sorry for writing an essay in a KZbin comment section, but this truly means something to me. Any words of support or encouragement would mean the world to me. 🙏

This gives 100% atlas vibes, it reminds me of comeback and on and on + their unreleased songs a bit. I don't know if this is the last album, almost everything points to it. But even if it is, I thought it was the end 1 year ago, so I got to listen all these new songs so thank you guys for the bonus, they're incredible. I really hope you guys stay together and I really hope I'm wrong I really wish that you make songs forever. Because with your songs I grew up. Physically and mentally. And with your songs I metamorphosed from who I was, to who I wanted to be, which is who I really am. I went through my chrysalis. A couple of years ago I realised what The Score actually means. And with time, I realised that you became The Score to my very own movie. The soundtrack of my life. Last year I was in the worst place of my life, then you guys announced Deep End, and I jumped out of bed! Thinking you guys were finished with the score. I was so happy to see you coming back, and through the new songs, I went from lost to finding who I am again, and now I'm back on track. All with the help and guidance of the lyrics of your songs. So if it is the end of the score, and if I'm ever in a bad place again, I'll always come back to this song, you guys reminding me that there will be better days.
