That was my first thought. It’s pretty big so it might be from a big bass.

It's so important you show us your junk finds because I personally get very disheartened finding junk so it's good to see someone as experienced as you doing the same sometimes x
@kevinallen90092 күн бұрын
I detect also and my ratio of junk to good is 10 bad to 1 good. Don’t get discouraged. Try to laugh about the junk. The only junk I find that I really hate are washers. They sound so good and then you see it and it’s round and you get a little excited thinking you have a coin, but no the dreaded washer. Haha! Relish your good finds and forget about the junk. Best of luck to you.
@Miss_Toots2 күн бұрын
@kevinallen9009 thank you...the only coin I've ever found from 4 months detecting is a £1 spendable...but it went in a parking meter so I was grateful for that 😁 I just have to learn the sounds....I'm trying to dig everything as advised, but my ratio is about 50:1 crap to good 😔

What was the date you dug up the silver thrupence? I’m trying to figure out if my guess on your “silver date” was correct. A day with silver is never a bad day…just Albert had a better day on the coin front. I’ll be interested to hear what you find out about the lead token/coin. Cheers, and ATB!
