I was born and raised in Camelon, which is now part of Falkirk. Possible Arthur was in this area, and Camelon was Camelot. There is always a wee bit of truth in the auld tales. We Scots and Irish cherish a good tale.

@sonyagair1219 I hope that you don't mind that I share this with you. It's a small world indeed! My aunt was from S Africa , Port Elizabeth. She married my uncle after they met on holiday in Ireland and settled in Camelon. It always surprised me that she did but she was happy with her life in Camelon and died there.

Watching Scott on his walk-about, through the verdant green of the island, with Katie telling about St. Columba and Arthur, is a dream. Ignore the outsiders. Unless they trespass. Great work, you two. Love watching either of you doing, with no voice-over. That makes us truly 'a fly on the wall'. ❤

When my mum moved to Raasay in the 1990s she said it was like stepping back to the 1950s. Everyone looked out for each other. Money was used but barter was also used. One neighbour would have garden fresh veggies while another had eggs from their chickens. One mayhave caught more mackerel than they could eat but a neighbour may have a smoker to preserve the fish that way and would accept payment in mackerel. If you were going over to Skye to do a big shop you would ask your neighbour if they needed anything you could get for them. There was an incident with swapping whisky for tea but that was just a prank. It was definitely a different pace of life compared to London.

What stunning rock formations, so much to look at! The bitumen, I can tell you a tale, my scottish father, not long after arriving in NZ, over70 years ago now, bought a two roomed bach by the sea for us all to live in. He coated the roof with bitumen, I dont know if he knew then how hot the summers could get, .but during the summer the bitumen melted and dripped of the roof. Us children got covered in the stuff,I recall my mother scrubbing it off with butter! It burned! One of my brothers had white hair and he got it stuck in his hair, it had to be cut out!!! Imossible to get out of clothes! Oh what days! Really love your channel and look forward to every episode. The cottage flowers look so beautiful, amazing how such delicate beauty can thrive in such a place of wild weather.

What great stories about St. Columba and Arthur! How many people can say Columba took shelter in their bay? And I think you're probably right about the white stones, Scott. Most likely a raven or crow. Either that or a small human. Your flowers next to the cottage are SO pretty! While either of you sand the door, you might want to wear a mask over your nose, in case the paint has lead in it. Don't worry about editing out the sheep in your videos - they are commenting on your narration. Quite interesting, if you speak sheep, and can understand the gaelic accent.

I knew the minute he said, "The Shed..." that he was going to say, "of Doom!" Probably has to do with that positive objective attitude Scott has about almost everything. I'm glad you're okay Katie. I've fallen and landed hard on my knee, in the past, and it takes a bit of time to get feeling okay again. The ice was your best weapon against the swelling that could have put you down for a lot longer. I'm always reaching for an ice pack when I think there is any swelling potential. Also, keep it moving even if just stretching and such to keep it from getting too stiff. You did seem a bit cautious on this video and I had wondered if something had happened. Stay strong.

Thank you Katie narrating the history of Arthur and Columba while Scott was on his beautiful walk in the forest it fitted in very nicely with the story.
