That was an awesome Lamb Burger Bro and the raita coolee was an ingenious idea. Even tho I have eaten both lamb burgers and I love a fresh Raita with meat or curry, I never thought of this combo.BTW When I make lamb burgers I also add a touch of crushed green chilli and a touch of paprika/Cayenne pepper to it just for some punch( Can't help being indian innit lol). But props bruv, that was awesome

Excellent Scott, too good for Mackers man. By the way I just returned to th UK from Oz after many, many years. What happened to all the butcher shops. I was in Liverpool for one year and luckily they had one in the City market. I'm now in Southampton and butcher shops are as rare as hen's teeth. Love your chanel, you have a large support base in Oz amongst the ex-pats. Keep it up. Cheers, Spud

Why do I always watch your videos just as my tea is cooking ? :-) I'm a big fan of yours, but this has got to be one of the best yet - so simple, so utterly delicious. And when you were squeezing the juices out towards the end - words fail me. The "sauce" is something I'd associate more with Indian food, but definitely going to try this one. Thanks so much for all your hard work, your videos are the highlight of my week when they hit my inbox.

When I was cooking for my family I always used lamb ( or pork) instead of beef for most things. Just more flavor. Make Italian style meatballs with lamb and pork mix sometime. They go better in sauce than plain traditional meatballs.

@rebbelwivcause5 жыл бұрын
I suppose you could Bro, but I really don't recommend it to be honest. Lamb is 100% better when cooked fresh and not frozen, But I do understand your predicament too. I'd just make the patties and refrigerate for about a day. Then cook them strait out of, when I need them.

I like this recipe. The problem I have is sourcing lamb mince that is low in fat!
@khusnildeo4 жыл бұрын
Just buy some leg of lamb, debone and remove any trace of fat, blitz in a food processor. Don't overwork the meat. I always do this and always do extra lean lamb burgers at home. I'll occasionally add sourdough bread crumbs to make it moist.

This looks delicious; however, I don’t think I’ve ever seen ground lamb where I live. I haven’t had lamb for probably forty years, unless it’s in the gyro I eat once or twice a year from the local pub.
@Rebekahdavignon8 жыл бұрын
+1p6t1gms - as a rule you have to request it. Did you know that you can eat lamb raw? Mix with a little cracked wheat (soaked) and olive oil. Heaven.
@1p6t1gms8 жыл бұрын
+Rebekah Davignon Where I’m at ground sirloin and bison meat was served on rye bread with various condiments including thinly sliced raw onion, the old timers called them "cannibal sandwiches" although, I think it a version of tartare. I’ll ask we have some good access to livestock and butchers here by the Great Lakes. I guess it’s an out of sight out of mind type of thingy. That and my Mother stopped serving it to me as a child (lamb.)

i've never been lucky enough to experience fresh lamb, it isn't very popular over here in the states. for some reason my fellow countrymen don't have the palate for gamier meats...
@JeffreyHallHomestead8 жыл бұрын
+SamuraiPie8111 What country do you live in? I live in the US and LOVE lamb! When made right, it doesn't taste gamey at all. In fact, some of the very best lamb in the world comes out of Colorado...of course, I live no where near there, lol.
@wilkenj48 жыл бұрын
We have the same problem where I'm at. What we did was found a local farmer that sells by the whole or half and went that direction. When they have it at our grocery store it's $10 a pound. For burgers. The last half we bought was around $3.

Great lamb burger Scott :-) ... but that plastic bread bun? .. and those watery lettuce leaves from a £1 supermarket pack? Come on mate do that lovely burger some justice ;-)
@spaaggetii8 жыл бұрын
So whats the deal with adding an egg to the burger mince mix. Does it not help combine it? Am i doing it wrong? PS I use 'regular minced beef' most of the time. EDIT: P.s.s you should always rinse that pre packaged lettuce as it can harbour bacteria etc. Also recently we had a MAJOR salmonella outbreak from pre packaged lettuce in Australia, but either way I have always been told to rinse this packaged lettuce and other vegetables etc just to be on the safe side
