Years ago I was told to use buttermilk powder since it has a similar tang to cream cheese. It works so well. 😊

Love this! I made a cream cheese frosting for my bfs bday and it came out great BUT it only stayed firm in the fridge. You just explained to me everything i did wrong 🤣😍

Hi Nick, on the website when clicking on metric it does not convert the 2 sticks of butter into grams, just leaves it as 2 sticks. Cool to see the recipe has been updated, its my fav cream cheese frosting that I have made many times (pre this updated version)!

I always add a bit of gelatine to my cream cheese icing for fear of it being soupy but this looks wonderful

Since he didn't get to your question, I would take a stab at it. ;) I think the sweetened condensed milk in lieu of the *powder* sugar would not make the frosting stable enough. Nonetheless, to find out for sure, you can always try it with a small batch of the ingredients and see what happens. Please give feedback of your results if you do experiments.

Condensed milk tastes better in Frosting than sugar and it's smooth but you will need a stabilizer like meringue powder or shortening

confusingly, some recipes say to stop whipping after 1 minute or else it will over whip, and this one says to whip for 5 minutes.
