I read on Bimmerpost you can run Ferodo DS2500s as street pads in conjunction with your DS1.11s , you don’t have to worry about bedding the rotors as much when you change between them. I’m thinking of switching to those pads when I finish up my Pagid RS1 track pads.

Yes you can do exactly that. Ferodo pads use the same base compound so swapping them without having to bed them in again is possible

Do you think it’s worth to get the carbon ceramics? What advantages does it give?
@MarchedYeti963 ай бұрын
not really. theyre the best for breaking. handle high heat extremely well. But so expensive 10-20k for a set. and if you track alot they wont last you too long. Most people who own CCB replace them with steel brakes and put them back on when they sell. But if you just drive around town. They can last 100k miles. no brake dust.

@SimplyCarThings3 жыл бұрын
What i have on the car right now is the same setup i run for the track. Its an 18x11 rear and 18x10 front. Going to be switching to a squared setup soon

Which pads do you recommend for an aggressive street use?? Regards!
@usernamealreadytaken7703 жыл бұрын
I heard good things of the Ferodo DS2500. They are a good pad that can be used on both the street and track since they aren’t too loud compared to most track pads.

Yep! I would go with the DS2500! Ive never ran it myself but have heard good things

@@SimplyCarThings i had a bit of a code brown on track this year. Braked hard at 170 kph and stomping on the brakes and could feel the pedal get all soft and spongy. Think i boiled the fluid because that was standard… otherwise the 3 trackdays i have Done in the car was so amazing. Such a good car and i love it so much. A very big step from my E46 330ci :D love the content you have because i feel we have the same feelings and values. Big love from Sweden /Theodore
