I just don’t understand Vampire Weekend with no nominations considering they had an incredible progressive album and they have been favored by the Grammies in the past

I have to say something to clear that up. I got you, there so many good albums release in 2024. But you need to know how the mechanism of some songs or some artist get in nomination First. It has to be very huge song or atleast Cathy song. Second, the artist or the management should submit the song in some category. Third, there are atleast 40 panel judges (jury) that select the song which one is worthy or not worthy enough. Since the Grammy is the biggest night of music. Of course, so many songs and artist being submitted to certain category.. If the judges think, it's to many nominees. Well they eliminate some nominees.. Or perhaps, the artist you mention didn't submit anything... So don't blame everything on Grammy, y'all.. 👍🏼

@@braaogs6 No, it was not. Imaginal Disk was released on August 23rd, the same day Short and Sweet was released. It's just sad that such and incredible album didn't get any nominations.

I just subscribed to your channel due to your Beatles reviews! They’re great. Very disappointed in your dismissal of “now and then“ for best rock vocal performance. This song (and the story behind it) is a gem! Literally recorded over three separate decades, and with technology unavailable until recently. It is a gem! A perfect ending to the Beatles catalog. I highly recommend you give it a listen (and watch the documentary short about the song)

Billie E does not always take home a lot of Grammys. Her 1st album did, her 2nd did not, tho the title song deserved a win. Big Billie fan here, I think her 3rd album is sophisticated, well-crafted writing and singing. My fav of the year. Enjoyed ur reactions.

The Kendrick and Charli praise is warranted, but a lot of these noms are so confusing. That Beatles nom? Green Day? And all these nominations for a Taylor Swift album that, to me, sounded phoned in. Meanwhile, nothing for an interesting new talent like Mk.gee? Not even best new artist?
