Since I've been following your advice about building a brand, my shop has been doing so much better! More sales, more repeat customers. The only thing I haven't done is the email list because I'm intimidated about learning something new.

what do you think about when some etsy shop shows up - literally copying your ideas in general , while using the same POD company and charging 50% less, seriously with etsy fees I think they are making about $5 an item? They sell thousands .... kind of sad when my items are super high res prints unlike their garbage..

I’m looking for advice on breaking into the 3D printing market. I can design just about anything, but finding the right product to create, print, and successfully market on Etsy feels incredibly challenging. I put effort into designing unique items, optimizing keywords, and taking quality photos. While I do make the occasional sale, I just can’t seem to gain consistent traction or get the ball rolling.

I can pretty much design anything with Fusion and there is really no long term market for 3D printing on Etsy. The market for this type of product is almost nothing and the reason for this is anybody with $500 and some free time to learn 3D modeling has a business. The entry to business level is just about as low as you can get so everybody is doing it...similar to everyone can buy a used law mower on Friday and be a lawn company on Saturday. 3D modeling is not really that difficult. Any nerdy kid can pick up with minimal study time. Just being honest. I wish this wasn't the case because I love making new products but sadly it is the case.

Happy New Years Guys!! Are there any shops doing this well in the home decor market? My shop looks great, but my sales are still so low, following everything you have taught me, and I will keep going but feeling discouraged

Funny that you chose the jewelry boxes. Those are all from Temu. I don’t think I think they sell wholesale for around three dollars or so from Temu. Then you have the cost of putting the personalization on it. I sell these also and sold very few but then I wanna make more than 30% on them. So probably my price point is higher. I bundle them with other things as well, but even just the jewelry box with personalization just didn’t do well in my shop.

Etsy really needs to start removing these resellers. And adding text with a laser is not really "handmade."

Yeah Temu, Tik Tok, SHEIN, Alibaba, Ali Express ect makes it hard especially when they also do personalized (homemade from wholesale-but straight dropshipping from Temu) is harder to sale POD to make profit….as far as Homemade I have no issue bc it’s Etsy, but ppl who are selling cheap straight from these places are rough on profits! Also, when they steal our listings or mock ups!
