I just want to say I randomly found this channel while on a bullet journal video binge and now I'm hooked. I've gotten back into my pocket bu-jo and back to loving writing in it. The format of your videos are fun and engaging. Thank you for doing videos like this as well - hitting my 30's also triggered the "oh shit my money isn't forever and this box I live in will eventually be blown away by wind" feeling.

Millennial feeling behind in life??? It's not just your generation. I am 52, just read somewhere about a year ago that my generation, by population, is the poorest generation standing at the edge of retirement. I feel as though I am looking down a path of bricks. Before me, I see many more bricks to cover or my life as it lies ahead of me. When I looked behind me every thing is crumbling away, the life I had already lived. I can see the end, but I can not see the beginning, and I don't want the end yet. Because I can not afford the end. Inflation is out of control, and I don't have enough invested, and I feel like my aging health is going to be a super shitshow that nobody can afford. At any rate, I LOVE what you are doing and am somewhat envious of your youth. You are helping me uncover a whole different way of looking at live and LIVING life! Thank you.

Wow! I did not know that about your generation. You should definitely look into the choose FI podcast for sure then! There are SOOO many guests who are around your age and even older who talk about how they turn their lives around in so many areas. Super inspiring. Glad we found each other on here!

Nice video! I don't usually comment on anything but I recently stumbled on your channel and your humour deserves more attention and so I and want to help out the algorithm a bit. I have an aversion to the whole self-improvement idea as and when it gets too tangled up in neo-liberal, hyper-individualistic making-you-fit-into-a-system-while-giving-you-the-illusion-of-agency business. So I was a bit sceptical when I first started reading Marie Kondo's book but boy, it's very much not that. I was really moved by how it tries to guide you into awareness of the life you lead and the one you would like to lead, and gives you concrete ideas on you how to make the former more like the latter. Just like the bullet journal method, to me it felt like something guiding you towards awareness of who you are and want to be in the world, and it's not really about "how can I be productive productive productive" (though both Marie Kondo and bullet journaling help with this in a roundoubout way) and more about "how do I want to do this existence thing". I think existential dread if often tied to a feeling of a lack of control over your life and both of those methods help accessing your own agency again. For anyone who doesn't feel able to do much book reading, for whatever reason, the audio book version of Marie Kondo's book is really good too! Thanks for your videos!

Wow thank you for taking the time to write this comment. I’m glad you experienced what I did when it came to Marie Kondo’s method. Totally nailed it on the part about awareness 💃🏾
