I’m high dia- low masters on 2 roles but often play in plat-diamond lobbies with my lower ranked friends. I can tell you without a doubt low plat and low diamond are completely different games. Carried my low plat friend to diamond. He solo queued and was back to gold 1 in 4 days. It’s not the same game

Honestly, the issue I think most people have in this game, is just assuming that counters = win, that they never spend any time understanding the heroes themselves and what makes them strong. For example, after the plats got rolled they said "maybe we should have gone Rammatra" because they all think "I punch through shield I counter Rein" but Rammatra can't punch if he is blocking, so the Rein team could just light him up in nemesis form, or disengage with speed boost and then that cooldown is wasted.

I used to think I deserved higher elo when I was in Plat and the truth is I was nowhere near ready.. and even when I got to Masters, the pace of the game was overwhelming and it took a while to get used to. First issue is they dont understand team comps. They're playing low ELO stompers like Genji Doom into a traditional front to back hitscan comp...diving with no cooldowns, and even when they switch they just dont have any team synergy. They're just playing to frag out thinking that is skill. It's definitely not diamond let alone masters, but game sense and awareness is reasonably better in higher or even mid plat compared to gold. In my case there's just in general been less stomps there.

*please change you stance on "made them prove it" why do they have to when the game has broken matchmaking i mean the game is actually rigged to a T my guy. And its unequivocally proven.* You can circumnavigate the games force loss algorithm by partying up with 4 other players because the game cant overstep into the level of messing with your console and pull people put of game. You see theres a legal loophole here that if you queue up solo ypu are subject to having throw bots on either team, overthrow bots on either team or having skills outright not work if you somehow beat the rubber band. Ots a known common practice in free to play models to pay the illusion of a higher playerbase.

if anything, as a GOLD mercy, it hurts me to see that mercy on the plat team constantly being in the open, risking their life to pocket, it practically jeopardized her team, i feel like they did pretty well though in general, against a masters team, the fact the capped and got 3 is amazing, they definitely have potential, just need more game sense and working as a team to take down individual targets.

to be honest i don't know if it's good or not but in diamond lobby mercy go open so much when in master and GM i don't see that much open mercy (i'm diamond)

Ik how u feel I just got to Plat for my 4th time now & I've seen my Mercy death per 10 lower than Diamonds, Masters, & sometimes better if not the same as GM

Elo Hell is real, im hardstuck in high diamond on my main (7yr old account.) Made a second account, placed diamond 3 and then won 10 games and placed masters 4. Currently in GM now.
