I used to think every investor lose out during inflation, meanwhile, some make millions. I also thought everybody went out of business during the Great Depression, but some went into business. The bottom line, there's always depression for some and profit for others, it all starts with having the right mindset. That said, I've set asides $250k to invest for the future, unfortunately, I'm a complete noob.

Bad year for me, META is down 40k, ALLP is down 35k, Draft Kings is down 6k, NIO is down 15K, ABML is down 8k, and my wife doesn’t know. I'm just hanging on to Jim Cramer's words about opportunities in volatile times so perhaps, I either wait for a recovery or pick profitable investments to substitute for my loss.

@@lorifoster3786 Well agreed, that's the more reason I prefer my day-to-day market decisions being guided by an invt-coach, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short term, at the same time laying off risk as a hedge against inevitable downturns, coupled with the exclusive information & analysis they get, it's near impossible to not out-perform. I've been using a coach for over 3 years, and my portfolio has yielded from an initial $500k to a ballpark estimate of $1.8m as of today.

If you want to lose money, buy PM mining stocks. There are brief windows of time when you may actually make money on them, but those windows of time are very rare. 90% of the time you will lose money on these stocks. Most of them are pie in the sky sucker bets.
