Your teaching is grounded in joy & love - that is what makes your lessons so accessible. You can transmit the transcendent. Your work has deeply impacted my own musicality. - thank you!

Q you lay out a beautiful map. Now I am getting brave enough to add a note here and there and make it me. Of course without the map I would still be wandering through the woods aimlessly. For that I thank you.

I was getting a bunch of Max Roach and Bill Stewart vibes off of this. Everyone should get all the digital downloads. I’ve found that playing through them a bunch makes the vocabulary start to come through stronger. But don’t forget to listen. FP

Oh man, I wish I could play like you, utter magic Quincy!, alas, after hearing my shelf back a couple of nights ago I went into deep depression, it was shockingly bad, I mean awful, we are having a could snap at the moment and the garage is cold, I'm using that as an excuse not to face the drum kit!!, my issue... timing, like my 'Dad dancing', no rhythm, well that's what my wife says anyway!!!!

Quincy! That used to be a Cop/Doctor show in your country before you were born! I wondered if you could do a video on how to brake up the beat, like ECM style.mostly no backbeat, but wishy washy ,cyms a lot. I just sound like Im doggy paddling instead of a more of a John Christensen way.Can you help? (Green tea in the post)

Hi Quincy .... love your videos! What are your hats in this video? Thanks!

Glad you like my videos! Not sure I understand the question. I only have a few hats. This one, a Lions hat and a Zildjian hat..

I use a heavy Constantinople on the bottom and a really thin custom special dry on top. Those are my favs right now. Make sure to check the description box above to see my gear. Haven't really done a gear video yet. Maybe I"ll do one down the road. Thanks! @@bonzomio

I always disturb my neighbors when I practice drumming at home. This annoys me a lot.

That sucks! Build another home with a studio when you can practice anytime...:)
