Problem with fragrantica is that many times, ratings are biased, reviewers not taking the fragrance as it is, but being influenced emotionally and/or within context of its social media history. Fallacious reviews and ratings; lot of people automatically rate something low if it is something initially popular or in demand, or rate something high when it is obscure and not well known. It is a fallacy of considering oneself "smarter" than every person out there, the thinking that everyone cant think for their own and follow like sheep, but only they are the ones who are capable of individual thought. Applies to communities outside of fragrance as well. Ironically, it is more naive to think that way. There is a reason why things are generally popular or not well known.

I think Angel is a masterpiece, very unique and bold. But you have to spray it from a distance, otherwise I can be too much. I like to layer it with Aqualina, for some reason it bring out the chocolate note a lot. From the list I agree with Lady Million.

Great video Noelle! My most hated fragrance is Rose gourmand by Zara and all the fragrances with the same vibe like Gentle fluidity gold (sorry, I know that many people like it 🙏🏼). Rose gourmand smells so synthetic and is very strong. I’m sorry, I just can’t.

The most hated by me - no surprise Bacart R.540 😂 what may be surprising I hated it form very begining, long time before it even started to be so popular. I just cannot stand this „hospital” note, a sort of metallic / sanitizer note that lingers in the drydown 🙄🙄 even if someone would have paid me for wearing it, I would have never do so. No way 🤨

This video was quite interesting! Thank you! So I’m not a connoisseur in perfumery by any means, but I had a rather unpleasant situation with a perfume and I can say I hate it. So I tried something like “Philos Noir” or maybe “Opera Noir” at one of those Arabian perfume stands in the mall. I think it was a dupe, but I’m not sure what it was trying to imitate. Oh, it was noir indeed!! I made the HUGE mistake of spraying it both on my skin and on my clothes. Opening was ok-ish (smelled like tea and Paris 10 years ago). But the dry down… let me tell you! It smelled like a NIGHTMARE. It made me think of an opera star or actress at the beginning of the last century who would also enjoy killing people. It smelled THAT BAD. So old style and simply evil. I had to scrub it off my skin, I tried for weeks to get the stench out my Garmin watch and my winter coat. So that fragrance was very dark indeed. At the time, I was convinced that the perfumer who made that had evil intentions.

I think that Philos is a dupe for Opera, but I might be wrong. If it gets on the watch, it's usually bad news. I spilked a perfume on a make up brush, washed it a few times, it still smells like the scent 😬😁

Let me list my mens frags dislikes (hate strong word for me): Baccarat 540 Anything from byredo or le labo. Both generally boring brands. Byredo leans very watery or vegetal as someone once put it. I didnt have a way to describe it until the word vegetal was used by that person. Le labo just too minimalistic and plain and i dont like the hipster guy crowd around their counters. Whenever i walk by a le labo counter i always see two customers that are 30yr old guys w beards with beanies ) Roja Elysium. Roja is a decent brand w some hits and misses and suffers from poor performance but elysium is just..i dont understand why that is everybody's greatest hit and a grail frag. It smells sooo generic. The notes arent really balanced and blended well. Smell it and really try to see.and analyze, youll see. I wouldnt be caught dead with a pacorabanne 1million bottle. Last time i liked that one was 40 years ago when i was in grade school. FM musc ravageur. Dislike it. I dont think it smells good. But dam i got a full bottle of it bc it is a masterpiece that has a historical significance in fragrance. At least that is what i believe. Or maybe it was because i found one on clearance at COSTCO.

I love Womanity! But I know it's polarizing. I hate that L'Oréal discontinued it! They are ruining Mugler. I miss when they took some risks and made interesting fragrances. It isn't fishy with my body chemistry. A nice woody, beachy fig with some marine touches.

I still have a bottle but I don’t wear it as much as I used to anymore. My bottle is “over” macerated, now I’m in a humid climate and it would be a crime to wear it. Plus I’d probably kill myself by choking. 🤣 It’s amazing how subjective perfume is. I’m sure Womanity worked with your body chemistry because I’ve only ever received compliments with Lady Million. I had a friend who smelled AMAZING in Black Orchid, but when I wore it the fragrance smelled bad on me. I didn’t do it justice. But on her it was intoxicating. I’m sure on the right person, any perfume that smells “terrible” from the bottle or on most, would smell amazing on them. I’m surprised to see Gabrielle in here too. I think a lot of other popular Chanel fragrances deserve the spot. No. 5, Coco Mademoiselle, etc. They smell like expensive toilet water. Not the literal translation for edt, but like I’ve walked into an uber rich, old money restaurant and they’ve perfumed their bathrooms with this scent. Sauvage is simply boring. I’ve smelled it on a guy before. It was very faint and nothing exciting or memorable. I almost wanted to get him a different cologne to wear, because how boring. Great video by the way! ☺️💕
