These are the 7 Best Underrated Training Methods in OSRS!

The meta for oldschool runescape is fairly well established. This game has been out for years now, so normally players will simply gravitate towards the highest xp/hr methods. That said today we are going to be covering the most underrated training methods in osrs!
These methods I think are viable training methods as they either provide a good mix of experience, or they are very afk. I personally prefer these to convectional methods, as they work better with my playing style. There are tones of other underrated training methods out there, but these are my personal favorites!

One thing to add to the underwater agility method is once you collect 400 mermaid tears, which are separate from the XP tears, you can trade them in for a merfolk trident which sells for 1.3 mil on the GE.

Tips on the summer garden plugin to maximize AFK and minimize clicks: 1) Enable start from entrance 2) Enable count down timer with notification at 7 seconds left. With this combo you only ever need to click on the gate and the fruit tree. 2 clicks nothing else.

If you've got access to Demonic Offering, consider taking the spell with you during Abby Demon tasks, or even Nech tasks, if you're going to the Slayer Tower to kill them. For Abby Demons in particular, it's major pray exp, plus you can handle the Ensouled Heads on the spot since you're already on Arceeus spellbook. Ironmen, if you've completed DS2, you can get your Wrath Runes from Rune Dragons or Vorkath, so no need to hate your life training RC at Ourania Altar for a few weeks.

I used plank make from 88 to 95 magic and I really recommend it. You can afk when you want or you can increase your speed and xp by being active. Great suggestion.

@@DylanBurkhart considering I did a mix of AFK and attention casting, it's hard to say but my xp/h according to runelite was about 110k/h, so I'd say like 80k/h afk xp. Not too bad for the profit at the time which was higher than it is now unfortunately.

a tip for demonic offering: if you have access to the prifddinas agility course, you can almost perfectly get through an inventory of ashes (or bones) in one lap like you would alching while doing rooftops, and since the start to the course is so close to the bank it doesn't cut down on the agility xp per hour!

For those doing Drift Net fishing, Dragon harpoon works as well! So you don't have to spend a shitton of time getting the one from the mermaid or the other super expensive tridents.

Plank make is one of my favourite training methods for magic. I always put my kingdom full on mahogany logs and use them for plank make. Even more profit that way.

Add imbue and glassmake to your plank make, you can cancel some animation time and end up with a higher magic xp/ crafting xp/hr . But it ends up really intensive on the clicking side.

My favorite for magic is the tan leather spell on the lunar spell book. It's about 130k magic xp/hr and can profit upwards of 800k gp/hr depending on prices and leather used.

99magic with plank make and 99 prayer from sinister offerings fella here i recommend them both, mahogany logs> planks doubled the money used, so if you obtain all the raw material, planks sell pretty nicely, always in demand too. offerings was a fun bankstanding time cuz spell was new and influenced people into unlocking it cuz it looked awesome and i told them its about like chaos alter, but more bones less dying to pkers

You actually can’t turn the summer sqrk’s into noted form. They’re one of the items that the bank won’t note. I banked 99 thieving (something like 3500 drinks from the level I was at), and found out they couldn’t be noted lol. Spent the next hour or so just withdrawing 28 and turning them in over and over. Still an INCREDIBLE thieving method IMO. While you’re not making any money, it’s got a similar pet chance as the deeper rooms of Pyramid Plunder. Yeah, I was shocked too haha. That said, pets aren’t allowed in the garden so it’ll automatically go into your invent if you roll it. So make sure you always have one free inventory space whenever picking the tree so you don’t skip the roll. The inventory Flipping showed still works, though you’ll want to drop a beer glass in between every second sqrk fruit so you have a free inventory slot when you pick the tree. Then once you tele back you can just pickup the beer glass each time. It’s annoying, but you don’t have to do it after you’ve finished a stamina pot since that’ll be your free inventory slot.

Underwater thieving is a great method, especially when like myself, you dislike both skills. The xp is increased further because you can alch or fletch while doing it

For me it was a lunar spellbook method where you use multiple spells simultaneously that dont share cast times/cooldowns. I think it was a combination of tan leather, make plank, magic imbue (optional) and one more... Good magic XP and 500k/hr at the same time.

damn, im glad i watched this video. my current goal is song of the elves, but the only reqs left i have is to get 70 herblore and construction. to get them both to 70 would cost me around 10m the normal way. (making potions and mythical cape mounting thing) I'll definitely use degrime for herblore, this is amazing. its gonna save me some money for sure, thanks!

I did plank make to 99 and profited quite a bit too from it. absolutely recommend it! Also can confirm, I've gotten my friends to put on headphones, turn volume on max and cast the spell... Honestly the most satisfying sound in the game ;)

if you have a high enough fletching level preferably up to cutting diamond bolt tips bring a chisel with you for any activity that frequently drops gems. you can get a little crafting and fletching xp as well as making profit from cutting bolt tips and just nicer inventory management.

It's worth pointing out with degrime that you have to be very careful with your buy / sell prices, as the GE tax will completely crush any profitability that you thought you had if you're not careful

I remember when I was young and didn't know shit about the game. The g.e just came out and I had been slaying green dragons for a whole week and turning them into vambraces. Then on my baby f2p pure I was trying to buy some vambs and even a 15k offer didn't to through. So I hopped on to my nooby main level 80 and put an offer in of 600 vambs for 30k ea. Insta sold for 17m~ I will never forget that moment.

@@DJ-Bles I’m now level 98 thieving. I expect to have 99 on Tuesday at my current rate. I would say Monday, but I have plans out of town that day. If you do it efficiently, you’re getting effectively 1,500 thieving xp every 59 ticks until you have to bank (I save up the juice before I actually give it to Osman). I got lvl 65 thieving (required for access to the summer garden) some time mid-January.

Can you one day please make a video on the brimhaven agility arena for agility training? It can be as afk as 55 seconds and it is barely covered by any youtuber. It is a good way to afk agility, but with irregular afk times and that you need 1000 tickets each time. 40k xp/hr AFK, 45k/hr AFK with karamja gloves. The agility plugin sends notifications so you know when to go to the next ticket. Check osrs wiki for strategy: basically always go back to the purple line (other lines arent as important). I just marked a bunch of tiles purple. Recommended is like 80 agility and swapping in 1000 tickets at a time (higher agility lvl gives even more xp per ticket).

Great video as always! However, there's an error with your drift net fishing training method guide. Paying 20,000 Numulite DOES NOT unlock the feature to bank fish for free, it permanently removes the 200 Numulite entry fee so you never have to pay to go inside but you still have to pay 5 Numulite every time to bank fish. This is still very unfortunate but I would recommend mentioning that. Other than that, excellent video!

another one no one ever really talks about is guthix rests did a shit load of those until ~ 80 and was getting like 59.5k xp hr rates while making some times dummy profits ( this was also when they were prevalent in DH pk a few years ago though ) a 4 dose was like 1600 gp or some shit and it took like 800gp to make not sure the margins now but it was halfway decent but like 3tick level intensity

Poro poro. It's not the best hunter exp, but the price of implings definitely offsets that, so it's more of a money maker than something for exp. I go after gourmet and eclectics atm even though I'm almost high enough to catch magpies, because they spawn so much faster and in abundance. On average a full inventory can range from 145K to 156K per run, and runs can take around 5-10 mins depending on RNG. So at the lowest it's around 870k an hour, up to 1.87 mil an hour money wise on just gourmet/eclectic, but once you get to the point you can catch magpies and higher tier implings the exp and profit definitely goes up!

Swimming aka Underwater Thieving used to be a lot better before they nerfed the rates. Strange how something like that gets nerfed because the players who optimized the method managed to get slightly faster rates but places like Sepulchre which can be as high as 30% higher than poll alongside several million gp per hour gets left alone.

I agree with you but the distinction between the two methods is requirement, sepulcher is definitely harder to unlock than underwater thieving

Sepulchre takes a while till you get the hang of it though. Your first atleast 10 hours your xp and gp rate is gonna be really scuffed

Grr. I really hate the hopping for chests in Dorgeshu'un. I train thieving and firemaking together in Dorgeshu'un. I make rounds of the city doing chests and repairing lights. It is very quick and steady xp for two skills at once. It is infuriating to get to rich chests to find that hoppers have looted them. I wish they would not do that.
