aviator connectors are not supposed to be srewed flush on purpose. This way you will always be able to put maximum tension on the connecting prongs, even when more slack is introduced by long term usage. If not you will be able to partially disconnect the prongs when pulled on, which the thread is there to prevent.

I recently bought a Z-series in white. They've updated it similarly to the E-series. The connectors are now heat-shrinked, the aviator screws in all the way, and the coil is around 4 inches away from keyboard instead of 5. Really glad they made these updates on the Z-series as well!

According to their website, the longer length created by the coil is the reason why it may not work with some keyboards. Doesn't explain why other coiled cables made by other people work though.

1. Get a nice braided cable 2. Put it on a rod with the desired width of the coil 3. Heat it with a heat gun for 15 min, let it rest for 10 min 4. Heat it for 5 min and let it cool for 5 min and repeat for 2 to 3 hrs And your done... Like 👍

I must be the only mechanical keyboard enthusiast that avoids coiled cables with aviator at all cost. These take so much space on the desk it's hard to maintain a clean look with them. Plus aviators are only practical if you change your keyboard every paragraph.

Great video. Really enjoyed how you explained the pros and cons. After this I tried finding the e series but no luck on Amazon. But, and this may offend some of the purists, I went a totally different route. I got a cable that lights up lol. Might look really cheesy but at least it's different. Plus the keeb I got (Epomaker Niz plum) has no RGB so this might help get some light back. Also my desk set up is a little different than most, my desk is to my right not in front of me so I don't place my keyboard on a desk but on my lap. So the coiled cable would probably not really work for me anyway.

Four things • Is to give a metal-to-metal connection, super-strong electricity's transferring to the USB type A to the PC. • It's easy to disconnect and connect any type of mechanical keyboard as long as it's type C. It's universal for mechanical keyboards without having trouble going through the back PC to disconnect the USB type A. • Some PCs and desks are too far apart, requiring a longer cable to connect the PCs. • Optional just to give off an aesthetic visual appearance vibe

@Ragnorok644 жыл бұрын
From what I've seen, compatibility with the Drop boards can be a coin-toss since it also depends on the power supplied from the motherboard. Though I will note, going through the checkout process on Tez Cable's site, there was a note saying that these cables don't work with the ALT and CTRL boards. Honestly I feel like that's probably a statement to cover themselves, since all the coiled cables I've tried have worked with my ALT. But I also have an expensive motherboard.
