These murderers thought that nobody would look at the sky cam or body cams. They’ve done this before because they were just so comfortable doing it - laughing, making up a false narrative that they all join in on making, the disregard of possible citizens witnessing the attack that aren’t cops, etc. Just like when serial killers get caught, the always say that it wasn’t their first time because of the “expertise” that they all had in the murder and the coverup. This isn’t the first time this has happened.

@@jimdoe3288 however, I highly doubt that was an issue in Kootenai County, ID where they lied on the report I was involved in. They had to lie and arrested me on assumption of a crime. Inside their jails, they deprived me of my anticonvulsant and my non opiate nerve medication. They crippled me in jail, and forced me to eat food that caused my blood sugar to drop dangerously low, and had no medical personnel come when I was sweating and puking in their observation ward. I have the emails from the ACLU that proved the incident was worth pursuing, but I could not find a lawyer that could take the case based on the outcome. It would take too much work and the state would prolong the trial until it made it useless to file according to the lawyers I spoke to. I had six months to file paperwork. This happened in 2019.

humans are humans. Unfortunately because someone studied to work as a Doctor, babysitter or police office - does NOT mean they don’t have evil in their heart or a mental illness etc. that’s the sad reality. It’s hard to know peoples true intentions until they act on them, but once we HAVE THEM ON VIDEO there’s no reason why there should be a lack of accountability towards those individuals. We must hold people accountable, even those that happen to have a badge on their shirt.

Police can always call you suspect. I used to work 3-midnight in Fremont CA, and would get pulled over weekly on my way home. It was so frequent that I kept a brick in the trunk of my car I'd use to test my brake lights before driving home. I use to also keep extra turn signal & license plate bulbs in my glovebox so they couldn't lie about that either. This female officer pulled me over one night and I politely asked why. She said your brake lights are out. I asked her do you mind if I show you my trunk, and the brick that I keep in there to test my lights before I get into my car EVERY night? B/c this happens to me weekly. I literally just got pulled over 10 minutes ago for the same "infraction." She gave me my ID back and said have a goodnight. I get it, driving at midnight during the week is suspicious but at what point does policing become harassment?

I heard someone on TV who seemed to know Tyree say that Tyree knew where the pole-cams were and ran towards them purposely. I fall into tears every time I think about it because in my mind, this smart quick-thinking young man knew he was going to be murdered by these criminal cops and was determined to have it be known if he could. I have not been able to get through the whole video as yet, my heart just tears my eyes away, but I saw the moment he ran, and in my mind, he knew that these criminals with badges were going to kill him if they could before he ran. I felt that he felt that his only possible chance to live was to get away and already knew that they most likely would succeed either way. If the person who said he knew where the cameras were was right... he knew it was his only chance for the truth to be known. It makes me think of what his mom says. Sorry to go on so long. This is in NO WAY! is a good start for her! . She does not deserve the position as the office of Chief of police. @@jimdoe3288 I worked nights as a paper carrier. Most were pretty decent but as my city brought in new cops they're behavior changed. If you were on the street you got harassed. I actually heard one cop talking to another telling him to leave paper carriers alone because we were their second eyes. All I did was sit for a red light and a cop ran up my tail. He finally ran my plates and burned rubber when he found out I was listed by our police. I will tell you a lone middle age women it was very intimidating. Oh by the way he left me he pulled another car over a few seconds later. It was because we were out late. Of course they were looking for drunks but there are people who are out because they are between shifts. I finally quit but I was relieved when I did. It wasn't because of the people I met but because of the cops. It never used to be that way. Also my son was pulled over in LA.. He was between jobs and had just left the shooting range. He was serving in the Navy as well as a security guard for a large security firm. He had a similar vehicle that they were looking for. Problem was they were looking for a black suspect and my son was Nordic. He was hauled out of his truck without explanation put on the ground with a knee on his kidneys. Once they realized which security firm he worked for their demeaner changed. His boss told him he was lucky he was alive, because they usually shoot first and ask questions later. This was years ago but by reports we are getting worse. In Columbus, Oh the police shot a man with his keys in hand for trying to get in his own apartment. Ohio cops are only getting worse. So don't act so defensive. All you have to do is be out at night and its a whole new world.

It's the voice of the got damn man and the cop that yells get him up and get him his medicine....that's when the cover up mindset and we know we just fucked up came in. My father was afraid of the police, and he was a white male with a distinguished presence in the community. He was a pathologist and the county coroner, and that meant he had to interface with them a lot. He saw a lot of wrongdoing, and it bothered him. It also made him worry for my sister and I. He always told us to be polite to the police, but to never tell them anything without a lawyer present. He also told us (and this was way back in the 1970's and 80's) that they have a tendency toward violence, and that we should always be as compliant as we could be. After we were adults, he told us that he always worried that rogue cops might do something like what they did to Rodney King. He'd done coroner's reports on both blacks and whites who had been killed under suspicious circumstances by the police where the pathological evidence didn't match up with what the cops said happened. He ruled against them on several occasions, and boy howdy did they ever get even. One officer even had one of his relatives write a book about one of the cases where they painted my dad as being a real villain, by changing fundamental facts about what happened, and not even mentioning that three independent medical investigators had reviewed all the material and had agreed with my father. It went a lot further than smearing his reputation though. He couldn't even drive to work without getting pulled over and harassed. It happened every day. They wouldn't even give him a warning ticket or anything. They'd just stop him, and make him stay there trying to make him late for work. After the first few times he just left for work an hour early, and when a cop would pull him over, he'd sit and read the newspaper while the cop diddled around in his cruiser pretending to run checks and such. He'd say, "It's no skin off of my nose this way. I'd be reading the paper anyway. He's wasting his own time, not mine." It's a good thing the cops never figured out that's what he was doing, otherwise it might have turned violent. Police misbehavior and violence is not a new thing in this country, but it's something that really needs to stop. A police state is not a free state, especially when it so violently and completely violates one of the most basic freedoms enshrined in our constitution, that being the right to life. As an innocent civilian you have the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Those officers deprived Tyre Nichols' right to life, and hindered his mother's right to the pursuit of happiness. That violation of those most basic rights cannot be allowed to stand if we are to continue to consider ourselves a free nation.

Police know (even with the body cams) that they have a lot of leeway, because they’re given the benefit of doubt in 50/50 situations and they control the narrative, because they tell the story and the story from the suspect usually falls on deaf ears. They do this all the time, they just didn’t account for him dying, this is what screwed everything up for them. Had he lived, the officers would’ve claimed he was intoxicated or on some type of controlled substance, and anyone knows that if officers claim you were drinking or on some type of drug, all your credibility is lost in a courtroom. Even if the officers have no concrete proof (by way of a breathalyzer test or the like) they will the throw out the case, the assault by the officers will be overlooked and the defendants claims will not be investigated. I’ve experienced bad police first hand, they will assault you and lie without hesitation…even with a camera recording!!

You know what, I am so sick of people trying to convince the public that most officers are good when something like this happens. You have here 10 people who lost their jobs for failing to act with the barest level of human decency. 100% of those 10 people refused to do what was right. One of them wants credit for not going as far as the others. But not one of them can stand up and say “I did what was right.” I am so distraught by this story. I am so tired of having to do mental gymnastics to believe in the goodness of law enforcement. It is NOT the job of the people you serve to BELIEVE that you are a good, ethical, hardworking public servant. It is your job as a law enforcement officer to BE an honorable public servant. If most law enforcement is good, then give us indisputable proof by making our communities safer and building public trust and dumping this good-ol-boys system that wreaks havoc on communities. Right now it is indisputable that 10 people lost their jobs for failing to protect the life of a man they were supposed to serve and protect. Thus warrior cop culture has got to go. I’m so sick of these outrageous stories. Everyone deserves better.

Do you think your community would be less safe without police?
@JahOhKay
@JahOhKay Жыл бұрын
@@royharper2003 I think that police do not a safe community inherently make. If public servants think they can use taxpayer dollars to chase people down and murder them, then no community could be considered safer with that type of policing. I don’t care how many traffic tickets they write. The point of the post was to say that law enforcement should not get the option of behaving like this. It should not be a choice. It’s not a choice of whether there will or won’t be cops, it’s a choice that the cops have to make about whether they will or won’t serve with honor in the positions that they are sworn to. Maybe now they will go to jail when they make the wrong choice.

In Alabama, we recently passed a bill called "Aniah's law, which allows judges to prohibit anyone arrested with a violent charge from being able to make bond. These officers should not have been given the right to bail out of jail. The citizens of Memphis should protest to have them LOCKED BACK UP WITHOUT BOND!!!!!!!

See the problem with Judges is when they do have the power they claim they don’t have it - AND when they don’t have the power to do something they claim they wish they did have it. They are little more than cowards through and through like 90% of the scum in this country.

Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn “C.J.” Davis is currently in charge of investigating the Tyre Nichols murder. Before taking over as the chief of the Memphis Police Department, Davis started her career with the Atlanta Police Department. In 2006, Davis served as the Commander of the APD’s infamous Red Dog Unit. The unit was started in the late 1980s to combat the drug crews that initiated violence in urban communities. The Red Dog Unit was known for its aggressive tactics when it came to arrests and fighting crimes.

Don't ALL police vehicles have dash cams? I'd like to see what the police officer saw and show Tyre's so called erratic driving. Also, every police office that was there on the scene fired NONE went to Tyre's aid.The 5 that have been charged deserve the longest sentence for 2nd degree murder...60 years! I'm not sure how many police officers were on the scene but it looked to be at least 12. AND the aid unit didn't arrive until "about" 20-25 minutes after Tyre was beaten...why did it take that long?

In the video, the initial "Scorpion Unit" officers who pulled him over claimed he was driving the wrong way in traffic. Yet, in the incident report they claim he was an aggravated assault suspect? As far as police officers doctoring reports to fit a particular narrative and collectively sticking to that script. It is absolutely common.

That's just what they do, they "back their brothers in blue" even when their "brothers" are criminals. This is instilled in them in training, that ti's "cops against the world". The entire system needs to change from the ground up, that's why they say "abolish the police", because sometimes, you have to completely demolish the decrepit mess to rebuild it properly.
