I know this is late but QOTD: I love fossil cup. It's one of my favorites because I love the fossil pokemon. I'm bummed more people didn't enjoy it, but I absolutely dominated and climbed the ranks quick when this was live so it was good fun

For the fossil cup you need to bring a team that can win and not spice, Spice is unreal and I love what you do but for a cup like this it’s all about climbing and beating the meta that everyone is bringing, (hard as there is not much you can do) you do this and you have a winner 👍 love the content defo the best battler KZbinr as you make it fun ❤

I honestly think if you try to do ML content and lose most of your games it’ll still be more entertaining. Since you haven’t dabbled much into content in this cup there are many choices that you could use. Off meta picks are still fun too not like cayenne levels of spice only!

There are many choices sure, but it's 500k dust per Pokémon on average & I don't necessarily have enough XLs to just build whatever. At least when I build my crazy GL XL Pokémon I've got like 500+ other options to pair it with to make endless fun teams that can also be somewhat viable.

If people spent less time complaining about that and more about the quality of the game, maybe things would get fixed faster

Im the one who missed out. That sucks Callum. It wasn't in the description that I had to be sweaty to be dedicated. Im a rural player who catches maybe one pokemon per day and dont care to spend money to be super sweaty. If anything, how is not more spicy to win at a disadvantage? Idk that sucks man. I was really looking forward to being showcased and really worked hard on that team

One of the GL teams I'm planning is mostly lvl40 since rare candies aren't hard to stockpile through battle league rewards but XLs are insane to get, even though ik XL investment can be one of the selling points of Battle of Spice...

@@derek9511 thank you! Idk if they were level 40. I got two of them double moved but I save rare candy for a few Pokemon I'd like to someday evolve like my sole rockruff and totodile. I live way out in the mountains so all that's super valuable to me. My theme was the Slithering Greens. Serperior, Eelektross (shiny), and Rayquaza. Serperior is pretty high level considering usually used for great league. Her and Eelektross were double moved and just over 2000 cp. I get XLs are part of it but it really doesn't make sense that winning at a mass disadvantage isn't more "spicy*
