@@andybrown1002 Well, speaking from my own experience, I did go down that metal slide in the middle of summer in shorts, once. I am the kid that learned to respect heights by falling out of a tree. I poked the socket of a lamp while my father was looking for a new bulb.... curiosity and consequences sure educated me. Effing about and finding out long before that phrase was a thing. My parents werent abusive, but they didnt shield me from learning from my mistakes. When I was little, 8 I think, I pestered my father to let me try a cigarette, it was the 80s, everyone was stil smoking back then. And I could really pester. So in the end he said okay, and he went out and bought me the cheapest, roughest, most vile CIGAR he could find, nipped it, lit it up and gave it to me. Nearly 40 years later, I have never felt the urge to try smoking *anything* ever again. One draw on that cigar was enough. I dont intend to have kids but if I did and were to catch one with a cigarette or vape, I know what they'd sample next =p

Ok, so I actually listened to my mom when she told me stuff, so I have no personal experience with this issue. But we were and are both huge smartasses, so that scenario probably would've gone a little like: "It's hot on the bottom!" Okay, so put it down so I can pick it up instead of trying to hand it to me! Not saying the kids trying to hold the bottom of a skillet/pot/whatever aren't being dumb, but the parents who are trying to hand the things to them while holding the only parts that aren't hot (I've seen a mom do this while holding a pot that only had small handles on the sides, no room for someone else to grab) aren't too much brighter.

1:40 did that to my fiancé and he actually went to the store and got pads, boneless chicken thigh meat and chicken wings, various seasonings because he didn’t know where I keep ours, then came home and cooked himself some wings but slow cooked on the stove in a pot while following a recipe from my book for a stew. He knew I couldn’t stomach my favorite bbq sauce while I was like that and the stew helped a LOT (Only thing he forgot was to scoop the little whole cloves out because he didn’t know you have to, still a really sweet thing he did).
