Overall the comedy is very good, mostly parodies of other anime and references, but when the anime is serious it's really quite epic. And believe me, Gintama is different from other shounen anime,from the MC, character design, side characters, flashbacks, arcs, fights, antagonists and many more. My absolute favorites from the 2000's are Gurren Lagann and Ghost in the Shell SAC, they belong in my personal Top 10 favorite anime series. Although there were also heavy hitters such as the original FMA anime (I haven't watched FMA:B yet), Code Geass, CLANNAD, FLCL, and finally Spirited Away - the one I should probably rewatch after such a LONG time. Shucks that Gundam 00 didn't make it on the list, though. Gintama? I've yet to watch the entire thing, and I can't really watch extra-long shows these days. Great, now I remember having not finished SKET DANCE for a decade now. As for the biggest titles of the 2010's, ONE PUNCH MAN S1 and KILL la KILL were legit awesome, not to mention Death Parade was such a sleeper hit, I kept forgetting that I've watched it and liked it. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, however, was FABULOUS, well-deserving a spot in my Top 10. Too bad it was also the decade that gave us SAO and Tokyo Ghoul, two of the biggest stinkers for me. Even though SAO was the worse of the two (but thankfully SAO Abridged exists), Tokyo Ghoul is my most hated anime because of people constantly hyping over Kaneki as the greatest character of the year and caused me to have over-expectations - only for me to later find out that the only word I could use to describe Kaneki was "PATHETIC" - even more so than the already-pathetic Shinji Ikari. The 2020's? I have only two favorite titles so far: Ya Boy Kongming and Bocchi The Rock, none of which made it into the list. SPYxFAMILY was pretty interesting, but I was completely distracted by many more things that I simply forgot to continue watching it.

Nah my main issue is how little the time travel element effects anything - MC remains annoying throughout the show and I usually don't care about crybaby MCs but he pissed me off by the 2nd episode of S2 (where I dropped). Turn the time travel into seeing the future and immediately the show goes up by 1 or 2 points. And now there's alternative with Wind Breaker being a pretty decent delinquent anime and almost any other time travel anime being much better. I also don't care about animation quality usually but LIDENFILMS have so many good looking shows while in comparison Tokyo Revengers looks like shit
