Berthier with slot 1 having spitzer and slot 2 having normal ammo paired with an uppercut. It's basically an upgrade to mosin uppercut. Spitzer allows you to go for long range headshots easier while berthier reload speed and ammo swap gives you free bulletgrubber and lets you do full damage at close range with quickswap. I think people sleep on the Berthier when it's essentially a mosin with a faster reload (2.21 s) with 2 less bullets in the magazine.

iirc the berthier was slept on not because people think it's bad, but because the sights are misaligned and you'd end up shooting lower than your intended target a lot, and for a long while the position of the gun relative to the camera is actually bugged, causing you to appear taller when peeking. last I checked only one of these issues were fixed which is the position bug but hopefully the sight issue gets fixed too.

There are two version of Hunt: Showdown. The 1*-Low 5* game and the Mid 5*-6* game. One of them is fun to play, the other isn't. At least in my opinion. I rarely see Avto/Nitro/DolchP in the fun version of the game.

My general play style for jack of all trades is hand crossbow normal/poison for close range and pve, paired with a Winfield swift with incendiary because I’m not good enough to headshot at range or pinpoint location through walls, the fire ammo lets me attack at range and even if it doesn’t kill it’ll pressure by igniting them, with levering of course. If I have extra points I upgrade the hand crossbow to a terminus with either buckshot, flechette, or penny shot depending on if I’m doing pvp, pve boss rush, or buckshot for a mix of both

Every time my mmr gets boosted up to 5 or 6 stars I just straight up start throwing untill I drop down to 4. It feels like every single 5/6* lobby runs only these meta loadouts, there is 0 vareity in this gameplay and it just feels so boring.. but then again deranking also feels kinda wrong since its pretty much smurfing. If you constantly get placed into these higher elo ranks you obviously belong there, right? idk it really feels like a lose/lose scenario

It all depends on perspective. I consider six star lobbies to be a place for absolute nerds who will do anything it takes to win. I am an aggressive player who actually enjoys taking risks and making plays. Therefore imo I do not belong in six stars as that is the place where all of the no lifers are. Same goes for really high KD players.

Can anyone tell me what settings are being used in terms of DPI/Sensitivity? Players like this guy and others who have a lot of time in the game always seem to have very smooth mouse movements almost like they're using a controller, I feel like I am missing some vital part or setting in game or out of game that is preventing me from being able to STAY in 6 star because every time I get there its never for long. Also, does anyone know how they do that small hop? its not a jump because they make no noise, and they can still do that little hop even without lightfoot, it almost looks like the crouch hop you would do in old counter strike where you would just press crouch quickly and bring your feet up to your torso... I can't figure out how theyre doing it here, I only have a few hundred hours in the game and no one I play with has played as much as I have so I have no sources other than these videos but they never talk about this kind of thing.

Hunt isn’t super clunky cod is just super floaty, I’d say hunts more realistic in mw2 you slide, jump, and dolphin dive everywhere if you’re sweaty and the best thing is to drop shot and pre fire around every corner. Hunt feels more tactical somehow with a lot more creeping and planned out movement while listening to every step other players make edit: I’m just saying in general I think you basically know hunts more strategic

However, after saying that, i been using the "ferryman's oar" with spitzer ammo for the questline and i obliterated people in gun fights who are hiding behind all kinds of stuff. I would say mosin sniper / lebel marksman is actually my #1 gun in hunt. If you stay within your sniper range there is pretty much nothing anyone can do to you if they dont get hyper lucky. if you play avto / nitro / clown you can get grenade killed, wallbanged or hunt: tradedowned so you can actually die unlike with mosin (at least thats my take on it)
