I actually got this set in the mail a few days ago, and I was surprised because the first thing I noticed when I picked up a socket it weighed more than a 1/4" chomie normally feels. Quality and finish are nice, the wobble plus extension is cool and the spring loaded universal feels sturdy. My only one real criticism is when I was messing with the ratchet the drive tang feels like it has more slop (not back drag or pawl engagement, those feel crisp and solid) inside the head than what I'm used to. When I get back into work on Monday I'll compare it to my Sears craftsman, Icon, snap-on and matco 1/4" drives to see if I'm just imagining it. Edit a week later. VIM's 1/4" fixed head ratchet has the same amount of play as all my other 1/4" drives I have, and brand-new gear wrench, mac, and snap-on ratchets I messed with on the tool trucks. Just as good as the top-of-the-line stuff.

As a diy’r one thing I really appreciate on the 1/4” sockets I have is the knurling. Because 1/4” is a lot of times low torque fasteners, many times in tight spaces, it’s really handy to pop the ratchet off and spin the socket with your fingers. The knurling makes a noticeable difference in getting a grip on that thing.

I was really hoping for something new with this video instead of a repeat of information. Maybe a closer detailed look at the sockets themselves, like measurements, weights, or at least the broaching. Would love a closer look at the knurling to get an idea of how deep it is. Just anything to help with not being able to see them in person before making purchase decisions. I dont know, maybe im on my own with this thinking.

Came up with a great tool that no one makes.. A torque adapter(the mini box end wrench style with square hole for ratchet) but with a rounded/rusted bolt biter design if you guys get around to it If not love the unique/diverse tool selection to choose from

How would you hammer on the box end if you need a torque adapter to reach it? What would be the difference between using an extractor designed for a box end (gearwrench sells them) and your proposed tool?

They’re sending me a new kit for the ratchet - but mine was BAD. Socket wobbles on the anvil worse than a universal lol. But those sockets are fantastic. And great value.

@@jasonfabian9455 isn't that what he said in the video, that PF tested it lower than they did? Unless I misunderstood, in which case I apologize

@TayschrennSedai they tried to send project farm tools to test. He did not take them because he buys everything he tests and he has not tested any vim tools

I think we all have some respect for what happens at project farm. I feel like you’re using the respect for others to earn it for yourself. Iv worked in sales. Iv seen stuff. Iv seen things I don’t like. I’m not liking what I see here. I think you can do better vim. Still hopeful.

When I first heard about it, I was excited about the break room. I just sat through a 7 minute sales pitch about sockets. I’ll stop by in a few months to see if this show is going to actually eventually going to give us what we came here to see. So disappointed I just watched a 7 minute sales pitch about sockets. And the last video didn’t show me anything. You showed 1 ratchet vs. nothing. I hope you didn’t spend money on testing equipment to only test your own products. Do your own thing. Don’t use other people’s results. Only testing one thing shows bias. Vims biased opinions is so far the only think keeping me from considering the brand. Sorry.

I mean I don't know what you expected but I mean they are VIM tools, not project farm or torque test, of course they are only gonna talk about their tools. That's like complaining snap on doesn't go showing off or comparing matco and Cornell products
