Going prone is a very good thing, i'm hoping for some stealth overhaul. Knowing how ubisoft take things for their licenses and incorporate them to other, we might have the prone camo option from ghost recon, where you cover yourself in mud, snow or leaves to be less visible. I hope they add cinematic takedowns too, from different kind of positionning. Make the player feel that being stealthy is actually cool...

Assuming these leaks and rumors are true, I think I'm really gonna like Codename Red, especially the stealth details like hiding in shadows and extinguishing torches to create shadows. I like your idea of using a version of Eagle Vision as night vision, and that gave me two ideas: 1) Eagle Vision functions as it's normally featured in past AC games in most circumstances, and change to a more night vision style Eagle Vision when hiding in shadows. 2) Switch between the traditional Eagle Vision of seeing and tagging enemies through walls and the night vision style, similar to Splinter Cell's night vision and sonar vision.

My problem with Yasuke he is only chosen because, need diversity in the game even if it is play in sengoku japan. First he is a historical figure never controlled real person in AC game. As far as I know he never was real samurai as he considered an outsider. He was more like held a mercenary title so he can carry sword. And as racist as it is sound unfortunately he was only interesting because he was black and big in a country in a era where didn't really had black big mans.

As for your first point, it can't just be a toggle if the game is build like previous instalments. If you would turn of the markers in previous games you would have no idea were to go. They really have to build the game to be playable without markers by including clues and directions in game for every place you need to go. Just turning of the markers will make the game unplayable

There's an option in odyssey to delete markers and explore on your own or play more scripted. Idk why everyone complains about the map markers when they have an option to delete them. I'm more concerned with uninteresting filler bs in a massive empty map. I like the openness and their maps are pretty detailed but I like reasons to be where I'm at other than a cultist or loot chest. I like diverse mechanics and exploration when I find something interesting it's awesome especially when the repetitive nature changes to wow I wonder who else found this? Sort of thing. Idk just me

I never bought Mirage for the simple fact that Basim was a boring character and didn’t care from him in Valhalla. Plus Ubisoft like so many other game developers like to release games unfinished. I’m looking forward to Hexe but I won’t be buying it on release day. I’ll wait 3-6 months for it to feel more finished as I’m sure it won’t be like the trend now.

Pulling all these ideas and features from other games, including the dual protagonists (which feels a lot like the samurai/Ghost aspects of Ghost of Tsushima), if true, makes this AC game sound like a Frankensteinian abomination that should never see the light of day. I’ll likely skip this one and wait for Rise of the Ronin and Ghost of Tsushima 2 instead. And I think it might be time for Assassin’s Creed to be put to rest.

I don't mind less markers as long as there's something on the screen to show me where to go. For example, Ghost Of Tsushima had visible wind, and Batman's Arkham games and Kingdom Come Deliverence had a compass bar at the top of the screen. 2:48 Yasuke was not a samurai. He was in Japan in the service of a Jesuit missionary, and came into Oda Nobunaga’s service as a retainer, page, vassal. He was not a soldier or samurai in any regard. In fact, being originally employed by a Catholic missionary, if anything he'd be a Templar, per the in universe customs. This is just more race baiting nonsense. They take the _one_ solitary black guy in history that had a known and documented presence in Japan and did nothing of note and make him a protagonist. As a guy of Japanese descent myself, really wish they would make both playable characters Japanese. In the AC games, for the playable character we've seen whites, blacks, native Americans, Egyptians, Middle Easterners, and now an Indian. The only Asian we’ve seen was that girl Ezio mentored in that tiny little game, and they wanna replace what should’ve been a Japanese character with a black guy? If they’re trying to be “diverse,” this is the wrong way to do it

I really hope that if they decide to do "nature/tree" parcours, they do a much better job than in AC3. I remember not carrying on in AC3 because the parcours was so broken. These stupid tree's were really badly done when you had to climb on them. 😩 Hot take: I even liked AC: Infinity better! 🤪😅

I know no one will like me for this comment. But I’ve only played two ac games. Valhalla and black flag. And I liked Valhalla way better because while it was repetitive it felt like I was at least achieving something. Until the end when kenway finally sets his sights on the sage’s object I felt like all I was doing was side quests while constantly following and ease dropping people.

Black Flag absolutely sucked as an Assassin’s Creed game. The real draw, for a number of people at least, was the pirate aspect. It was an awesome pirate game that only started to loose its fun once you upgraded enough to easily dispatch the legendary ships and built yourself a fleet of Man’o’Wars.
