You all are amazing with your animals. Last time I had a momma with large tears like that, I had to hand milk out the colostrum, gave momma relief, had the colostrum for baby, and then they were able to latch on as her teats shrunk down by more than half. I know it's not that simple IRL, most momma's are not a fan of being hand milked, but I'm confident you'll find the best solution for you and your farm. You've done a great job imprinting the Emus, and the older one didn't seem to have any issues with his leg right now. Thank you for some great content.

You can buy a fly trap that uses a gallon jug with a pop-up vent in the lid. They come with a small bottle with a liquid that generates a dead animal smell. You put one ounce of the scent liquid in the bottle and mix with water and then put it upwind from the area you want to protect. The flies will go to the jug and enter through the vent and end up drowning in the liquid and the more flies that get into it the more flies it will attract.

The emus are so cute and it's great they're following you all around which means when they grow up you will be able to get close to them. It's pretty cool that for the most part all of the animals get along. The new camera makes much less noise when zooming in and out. You may want to apply some liquid silicone that comes with beard trimmers to stop the noise when zooming in and out.

You may have to milk momma for some colostrum so you can give those babies a bottle since they have not been able to suckle.. Watch Jason at COG Hill with Nugget the Emu, they have talks and while they do Nugget sits down and lays his head on Jason’s lap or he puts his head on Jason’s shoulder.. Nugget just turned 2 this week, they raised him from an egg.. Hopefully you all can get to know them by having a lot of interaction everyday, they can be fun..

LOL Listening to you calling Mojo and telling him 'Im not going to beg you to eat' made me literally laugh.. That sounded JUST like me with my oldest kiddo. You had about the same luck as I do. He just came out of a eat the world growth spurt and now he would rather do other things. Weird.. He vows Im a good cook but dont want to eat much🤔 I LOVE watching the Emu's run!! That is the sweetest and funniest thing. They are insanely fast. Now my kids want one.😳 we will just adore yours from afar!! Again, love the names.. I sing in a Gospel group, we have traveled everywhere in a 40 ft silver eagle bus.. So of course spending that much time w people, everyone gets nicknames. One of our singers nickname is Yoshi. She has a really high pitch, ( and you know Yoshi has that high pitched squeaker) amazing singer but those high notes apparently require stretching of the neck. The one who gave her that nickname said she looks like Yoshi when he's about to catch something! That stretch when his tongue flies out. So we have a Yoshi too. Just a human one!! Thanks for another AMAZING video!! And of course the "animal voice's" Hahahaaa i declare listening to you talk to Mojo (why are you mad) is a 'recording' of me Talking to my 10 yo Son!! Check his ears to see if he has a infection or yeast? I use a good ear flush called Trizchlor, it's Antimicrobial so it kills yeast and bacteria. Easy to use and I use it once a week as a maintenance to prevent any problems. Blessings to ya'll..love all the babies

@Hidden Heights Farm - simplest solution - put Mojo's food outside the fenced area. He can get in anyway without you opening the gate - as you showed. Like I mentioned previously LGDs don't eat on a routine like your pet dogs do. They're not bred to. So he can eat when he's hungry. Put any extra food away at night to avoid raccoons, etc.

My Chihuahua itched similar to your dogs and I started to give him a FISH OIL capsule each day. He stopped scratching in about a week. A friend of mine suggested it and I thought "What could it hurt"? If nothing else, great for his heart and joints.

Could be skin allergies..on the dogs..from pollen weeds,certain grasses or their food..foods with chicken in it alot of times causes allergies with dogs..and other ingreds..just have to run test to figure it out,..that goat seemed like she was in pain with all the kicking she is doing..course u can tell better than me..dang flies!..baby Nuggets r soo cute

For our dog it was a yeast infection in the ears, vet prescribed a 7 day treatment of Entederm ointment (mystatin, neomycin sulfate-thiostreplon acetonide) & it cleared up within a week. It’s been a month & the ears seems fine with no further itching. Hope all goes well with all the critters & family!

I know that stomping feet is a warning to "leave us alone"....HOWEVER...either mom is being really aggravated by the flies...OR she is keeping the babies ftom nursing. Her bag is so distended, the babies cannot get their small mouths attatched to suckle. I have absolutely seen it more than once. If its not caught the 1st day,,,it could lead to a disaster. Please forgive me if im overstepping. I was just scared not to mention my experiences. Would you actually pen her up snuggly and milk enough to put in a bottle and get the colostrim into them? It would get mom some relief also. Sure dont want a mom with mastritis

@@southernmomma5832 I agree. The poor babies can’t even eat because she’s kicking around so much at the flies. Her teats are so big I don’t think they can latch on. I know it’s important that they get the first milk but if she isn’t drained some I don’t think they will be able to. If they don’t eat soon the mama may start refusing them. So I agree, I would be right on her. She needs something for the flies first and then milk her a little. Then help the babies to eat. Please help them. Kevin I mean this in a joking way but with that many goats and you don’t have any fly spray. Lol. I sure hope the babies will be alright.

We raise cattle and have fly tags for their ears. Our vet told us we could just tie a fly tag to our dogs collar for bugs.
