You should definitely try Homegoing again, it’s brilliant. Each chapter jumps forward to a different generation so it’s kind of like reading connected short stories which I think makes it a quicker read. I wouldn’t bother with The Power, your initial impressions are right, it doesn’t get better 😅 The Bone Season series is still being written and published, but there are only four so far with the next one expected some time this year. I’ve lost interest in this series given how long it’s taking to come out.

I don't know why I didn't pick it up because those 95 pages were quick and I would say I was into it... I just never picked it up. Haha, I realised when editing what I was wearing and just thought... Oh well I'm not filming again 😅

I had the luminaries adaptation on my Netflix watch list forever and didn't even get round to watching that before it got removed 😂😂

I've had The Luminaries on my shelves for a few years and still haven't picked it up but I'm still excited for it, I've heard great things! I love The Bone Season and I read that edition but Samantha Shannon rewrote all her books in the series recently and especially the first one got a lot of necessary changes so I'd recommend reading that version if you can get your hands on it

OH. That is so good to know about The Bone Season... I don't really want to buy them again (I have the first...3?) So that might be one I just get rid of know that information.

I love that the 3 of these that I've read, I only read last year after also having them for years! 😂 I was really disappointed by In Cold Blood, The Power was...... fine......I kind of checked out half way through honestly and couldn't tell you anything about it now...but I'm mainly here to put my vote forward for giving Homegoing another go! It's beautiful (but awful) and I really really loved the writing style. It was probably my favourite book last year and the characters have really stuck with me ❤
