That first stretch of river, which i like to refer as the "the boneyard" has produced several of my best nights of flattie fishing. One night caught 7, two of them over 40. Glad to see you back to the OG kayak.

Sitting here by the wood stove in my underwear watching you catch perfect eaters. Talk about simple minded that's me. Great to see you back to your roots. Shallow water is the schizna. Coming from ne where we have a lot of 10-20lb channels, they are pretty fun. Those cats can really bury a rod in the spring time. But flatheads still better😅

If you use old fashioned braided Dacron 100 lb test Ice Line it's the same diameter as 20 lb braid and if you try to break it with your bare hands you better have gloves on it or are you going to be missing a couple of fingers
