It’s dope you have a balance view toward reviewing products! The DZO holds its own tbh and love how you’ve tested them on projects 🫡🔥

We used the A set on a Music video last month, borrowed from the local dealer here, and they were great! Couldn't be happier with them. Image was high end and made our talent look amazing. You wouldn't guess that they are a "budget" cinema lens set. That being said about investment, I agree that for keeping them as a always on hand set for you to personally use is a worthwhile option. I don't really see them being popular as a rental investment because you can spend a little more on the daily fee and get the more well known and traditionally 'expensive' priced lenses. We have been/are considering maybe the 8 lens set, so minus the 40mm and 21mm. We used the Arri Signature Primes on the last music video project we did and those are so so light weight compared to the Arles, you can feel why you're paying more. The Arles are good but very heavy in comparison. I think the Enzo's are a better investment long term, especially with the rear filter choices, it's like 7 lens sets in one. Of course they are more expensive then the Arles but I think the demand will be higher as they are Arri, the build quality, serviceability, and also lens selection is greater. 10.5mm = insane. You can probably buy both sets of Arles for the price of two Enzos, but long term you'll make that money back. Will still consider the Arles though as an in-house set as we can't afford the Enzos right now, but yeah. Nice video :)

Currently these are the cheapest option for fast glass in a cinema housing, and they happen to perform really well. That said other budget options get the job done if you don't need T1.4. The Dulens set is an amazing deal. The Meike S35 set is also an amazing deal, incredibly cheap. I currently have the Meike set. I was going to switch to Dulens, but in the budget arena I just don't think it matters. All these brands don't hold much weight when it comes to booking jobs unless you have a set of Cooke, ARRI, or Zeiss. I am currently saving for the Cooke SP3 set, which I think will hold it's value pretty well as the weight is appealing for a lot of uses. Until then my Meike set will do just fine for anything where I am not renting.

Great points all around! I definitely agree, for LF these are without a doubt some of the best bang for buck fast lenses. Plenty of other really amazing solutions if you're willing to be a bit more flexible on coverage and focal length options! These for sure won't get you _hired_, but will very likely satisfy the bulk of work as an owner/op!

Thank you for making a real review, not some overhyped youtube crap. I actually own the A set and your right these definitely pack a punch with the price.I think these will slowly creep its way to mid budget high end work. I do agree with you on the flares, but the more i use them the more i love the look of the flares. I also like how controlled focus breathing is on these.. Good Job Ryan

They do look amazing, thanks for the review. For the price they offer such great value just like the Nisi Athenas. But considering that Arri has recently released the Enso lenses, man they have just lowered the entry point to Arri lenses by a huge chunk, albeit still quite expensive. Would love to see you add the Enso lenses into the mix for such lens comparisons if you ever get the chance.

How do these compare to Lumix S Primes? Is there a huge noticeable difference? or is it only a difference a cork sniffer, wine gargler would notice especially after a color grade?

I did have these on the mini LF open gate for some shots in the video! Admittedly that project was pretty high-key with a heavy grade, but generally they handled VERY well. Bit of vignetting on the 14 and 25

Have you compared matched sets? That is, a matched set of primes will give you color consistency. An unmatched set will not. There is variation between how well manufacturers match their prime sets.

Gotta love this man. Starts his sales spiel with the word "honestly" a few times. Maybe to assuage his inner "honest" person. 😅 Then later on admits I am gonna get to keep a few of these 2500 dollar a piece lenses but "honestly" no money has exchanged hands and I am not a shill youtuber "honestly". Gissa break maan, it may work in China. Apologies for stereotyping you because of the oriental looks and you may instead be a born American person in which case you should use the word "honestly" more often as a God's given right...😅 Excellent content BTW....
