Hey Phil, I’m a Yankees fan, but a baseball fan first. I am a huge Ortiz, Manny, & Youk fan as well. I cannot see how anyone who loves baseball can not appreciate and admire what those guys did for the Sox, but also for baseball. I was a big Verdugo fan as well so I’m pumped to have him bring his bling (one chain per game stupidity) and his vigor to NY. Today’s game is different than days of old baseball, players don’t give the home club preference, and clubs do very little to keep stars as well. There are exceptions like with Judge, but I am a Judge fan that would’ve followed wherever he went.

I am been buying Yainer Diaz Topps Chrome rookies cards. He is off a good start and his cards in Topps Chrome are autos only. With no base cards out there, I suspect his cards will do well, only if it continues. I always see Scotts videos on hyped players with so many different cards and which to buy. But, Diaz is easy.

Diaz is another guy like strider - No chrome base cards! Be wary of catchers! Almost as tough to predict as pitchers. But he does look good so far.

As a Cubs fan it's brutal to see how bad Kris Bryant is now (and has been). Injuries and such suck. From ROY to League MVP on the first in 108 years World Series legendary Cubs team to Anthony Rendon'ish contract in what felt like no time. Sorry Scott.

So I too have many of my better cards in BGS 9.5. I admit I like the discounted Gem. I cross some. Keep some. So I have read BGS will regrade your card if you even just reholder. So if they change to a 10 grade for 9.5s, seems like they will they regrade them? They say they don’t know the slab has been or if the card has gotten damaged. So I think they will regrade those 9.5s before switching to 10s. That would be less than idea obviously.

Unfortunately Mookie has not hard signed ANY card since 2014. He has an exclusive memorabilia deal with Fanatics and only signed in 2014. He has some sticker autos in 2015 and 2016 but those are few and far between and were stickers from his rookie season in 2014. It’s one of the reasons I love collecting Mookie!
