I would argue that someone using their characters strong/hard to deal with moves in neutral is playing footsies, but it's footsies with training wheels lmao. And god forbid that move gets nerfed, cause they'll fall right over.

I played c viper in 4. I was really good too. I actually used to play against you allot strider. When you used Abel. And I agree, using her made it hard to transition to 6 because she was gimmicks. Now I use Marisa until she returns lol. And sometimes I just feel like a punching bag

Talking about system mechanics carrying people, as a Marisa main, and 1800+ Master and coach. Modern Marisa's Gladius has to be THE BIGGEST carry I've ever seen, sadly so many of them get to Master just to drop to 1200-1300

What about characters who use projectiles for neutral? With the parry system, no one is scared of fireballs since they can just hold the party button and absorb all of them. Ryu is my main and I lost a huge tool for neutral since only scrubs fear fireballs

Projectiles are still good, they force the opponent to just sit there and parry, opening up counter play. Not knowing how to use them is another issue entirely
