That was me in the blue top and straw hat clearing up the trails. Weird how KZbin recommended this channel?

So last Saturday I just had the same fall, going faster and at steeper angle at Quiet Waters Potato Patch section. Scrapped my left shoulders badly, my left wrist it's sprained, maybe with a hairline fracture cos it's starting to ache like a mother, gravel punctures on my right hand palm, banged my head so hard that now I understand the cartoons with birds and stars circling the coyote's head and a few more scraps, nothing major. I was wearing elbow/knee pads but no gloves. I think the helmet saved my existence. I paused yr video to see your wrist landing in the dirt and it gave me chills, glad u didn't get hurt! (i know this video is ancient but still) So to wrap it up my air pressure on the rear was 30 psi instead of the 23 to 25 that I been using ( I'm 115Lb) and even though I was going fast, not fast enough for the angle I took on the berm just before the bump leading to the wooden bridge. Next time up in the trail I'll wear wrist bands, to me now are as important than the knee pads. I think this is the longest I ever written on Social Media, still licking my wounds. Thanks for the video!

I can honestly say i've been very lucky with falls. Some could have been much worse. However it's part of growing in the sport and its a risk we all take. Part of that giving the risk the respect it deserves, which makes me wonder why some folks don't even want to wear helmets. Anyways, hope you ride again soon!

Have they changed the direction lately? Unless I was doing it wrong. Last time I rode there in April I slid out on the top of a carpeted berm and cracked a rib. And I was definitely going the other way on several parts of the trail.

Hi! I don't think its been switched back yet. I think its every 6 months, so likely around the new year! I'll do a follow up ride when I hear that it's been switched back.

Slide-outs happen. Usually if you run tubless not enough air in tire . What size tires do you run .
@JEANMTB3 жыл бұрын
I run maxxis dissectors, 2.4 but I had it about 30ish psi. So I’m assuming I just had way too much air. Actually I felt it slide out earlier in the ride, once i Aired down a little, it was so much more traction.

@@JEANMTB tubeless?
@diegovillacrez83492 жыл бұрын
Definitely slide out from too much air. Tubeless with less pressure helps.

You crash , check for scratches on the new bike , if there's no one ... then everything is fine so you keep riding .
@JEANMTB3 жыл бұрын
haha yeah luckily it wasn't a horrible crash. Someone once told me if you aint crashing you aint getting better. Not sure how true it is, but id rather just not crash. lol

I think distraction from bluetooth dude caused the washout.
