KILLER feature is an understatement! That is life-saving, can't count how many times I've forgotten my dock when I go over to a friend's house

Right? Can't believe this hasn't been done before and to see it in such a compact and cohesive format? I was bewildered to say the least.

Came across this video while researching grip cases. The features of the 2163 model are pretty cool.

Right? It is really a good product!

Awesome review of the cradle controller, very in-depth and points out the important features. The built in dock is a must, like you said, as a parent that is a game changer!

These look very comfortable and the colors are better then the switch ones. I love the transparent look it reminds me of my playstation controller from back in the day😊
@GameTechTalk11 ай бұрын
Yeah, the 2163 comes in three colors, all with smoky see-through and the 1188 also has opaque colors, one themed after Animal Crossing and the other one after.... easter? Not sure 🤣

Less since I had the M6-HD but they just released their new version, the TNS-3161. It might be a bit hard to find as it literally just just just released but give it a week or two and I'd expect it to start popping up!

Very cool grips for a good price
@GameTechTalk11 ай бұрын
Yes they are! I assume this is because we're getting the "direct from manufacturer" experience because that price is a steal to be honest. Cheers

it works with my friends switch
@GameTechTalkАй бұрын
If it works on a Switch and not the other, the connector of the non-working Switch might be at fault! :/

have u turn on the wired communication on setting?
@GameTechTalkАй бұрын
@@abiyyumartha5785 Oh wow, how did I not think of that! That is so right, you need to activate wired controllers to work on the Switch if you never have! -_-'

This controller lasted a month and already has stick drift, even though it's advertised as hall effect
@GameTechTalk9 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear, might’ve been a calibration issue from the start that got worst. That’s one thing I wish every manufacturer would include, a shortcut to calibrate. The Switch calibration may help in some cases but in my experience, it’s the factory calibration that can make or break this Hall effect sensor sticks and triggers. I’ve seen my share of it as a reviewer.

Do i need to charge this controller? I got the dobe eggshell 1
@GameTechTalk4 ай бұрын
No you do not, it is supplied power from the Switch itself and much like joycons, it uses very little overall.
@pc1241228 ай бұрын
Great review! Looking at the links you posted, and I can't figure out if they both have Hall Effect joysticks. I'm pretty sure the 2163 does (which I can no longer find online?), but don't want to assume the 1188 does. Do you have any insight into this?
@GameTechTalk8 ай бұрын
Thanks! I do actually, the TNS-1188 do not have Hall Effects, as for the 2163, I've been checking almost every two weeks to update my link and as it turns out, I never see it back in stock. Maybe dropshippers are buying them hard? I'm not sure.

These are the same as the Nexigo Gripcon on Amazon. Why different brand name??
@GameTechTalk11 ай бұрын
Because DOBE, the actual maker of these products is usually a brand that specializes in making things for others and not directly to consumers. Nexigo in this case, buy an already built and r&d'ed product, they patch their name on it and bam, they have a "company". If you are familiar with "dropshipping", well the Nexigo Gripcon is precisely that. But if you look at the difference in price, you'll understand why DOBE sells you the exact same thing at precisely half the cost. I did not want to make the video about that but that is a very legitimate question and I'm glad you asked it.
@kr930711 ай бұрын
@@GameTechTalkThanks for the explanation. Can you send the link for the newer version with build in dock please. Not sure if you're aware but the link in your description only shows the older gripcon on AliExpress and not the newer one

I haven't heard the term "Cradle controller" before, but I think its the best way to describe these. And these ones look pretty interesting.

It just makes sense I find. Nice to see your name again by the way! FYI, Stubbs Nubbs are not compatible with those sticks! 🤣 Thanks for participating and engaging, take care bud!

@@GameTechTalk Oh well. I like the nubbs from time to time, but my pancreas is doing well enough without them that compatibility is not a hard requirement for me :D

Thanks for the chance at the giveaway...also I may just buy one of the dock ones just because we were wanting a second dock solution anyway, so this fits the bill for both a more comfortable handheld experience than joy cons and a second dock solution. Yay! i am first.
