So basically if you were in any enemy hood (Hoovers , 83 ect.) you were a target, gang member or not . Young and black walking down the street was a death sentence. I can’t believe as a collective they thought that was ok , killing a young mothers and middle aged men? Put a little more effort into it and get y’all man not innocent people and no bodies.Usually I literally don’t care about sh** but this one bothered me.
@ATHTSupply Жыл бұрын
That’s how it is man. That’s why niggas ask “where you from?” Instead of “what set you claim?” Now days. Because a lot of actual members would lie if they got asked “what set you claim?” So to trip people up they’ll ask “where you from?” L.A has an unfortunate mentality of “I gotta get them before they get me” and it’s dangerous. When the ECC was beefing with F13 a lot of Mexicans would shoot at anyone black whether they gang banged or not. I lived in LA in the 80s-00s but I would visit Atlanta in the summers. It was such a relief going somewhere else and to be able to just relax

@PassportBrosAndBlondeManWeaves Why weren't they any good in your opinion? Me personally, I like the fact that they were strong minded men who realized and recognized how the system was set up for people to lose. They weren't distacted by all the bullsh*t that we have today. Their morals and values were intact & on point and stood ten toes down on their beliefs. At least they were united, fighting against the real enemy and not each other. I feel like for those facts alone, they were commendable and should be saluted with the utmost respect. All men these days should consider adopting their mentality as far as their solidarity amongst one another. Also, by doing what's necessary to advance their people. They knew firsthand the importance of the 2nd amendment and practiced their right to bear arms without a doubt. Let's just say that the "enemy" is pleased with what they have accomplished. It's also my opinion that Mr. Malcolm X would be turning in his grave if he knew how things have turned out. How what he lived and died for has become. Comin from an Asian(Filipino) man, I say all this with the utmost respect. I be rootin for ya'll cuz I see the potential in your people. I see how and why the "YT's" seen ya'll as a threat. I also know how there are forces beyond our control that's keeping not just Blacks down, but mankind in general. I just admire the sh*t outta the BPP and what they stood for and how they stood on business... my bad for the rant 🤷🏽💯

I used to live on Victoria Ave right off of 63rd & Crenshaw (in the mid to late 90's). There was so much gunfire at night (usually in the Avenues). I remember early one morning, there was a loud gun shot across the street, it sounded like a cannon. My neighbor Angela called me (it happened right in front of her apartment). A 16 year old that was known as Tiny Ripper had been shot, he died right in the walk way of my neighbors apartment. That was a very sad day. It's a shame that so many young black men choose to live this kind of life, murdering each other, destroying families, making their communities unsafe and not fit to live in. Not to mention, they trade their entire lives and freedom for life sentences in a prison cell.
