I used to live on Victoria Ave right off of 63rd & Crenshaw (in the mid to late 90's). There was so much gunfire at night (usually in the Avenues). I remember early one morning, there was a loud gun shot across the street, it sounded like a cannon. My neighbor Angela called me (it happened right in front of her apartment). A 16 year old that was known as Tiny Ripper had been shot, he died right in the walk way of my neighbors apartment. That was a very sad day. It's a shame that so many young black men choose to live this kind of life, murdering each other, destroying families, making their communities unsafe and not fit to live in. Not to mention, they trade their entire lives and freedom for life sentences in a prison cell.

My roommate was this blood that had gotten shot up and lost one of his legs.... His name was Rodney... We became really good friends... It didn't take long to realize that that wasn't a normal thing 😂 some white kid from the streets and an active blood 😂 we would take our wheelchairs and go hang outside the side of the hospital smoking blunts and shit.... And boy those nurses were always getting on our ass cuz they were afraid we were going to get shot up on the side of that hospital because we were right there on Vermont....
