FYI: if the hoverboard was using a large lithium battery, the usual home fire extinguishers will probably not have enough stopping power to put of the fire. it's advisable to charge those things in the driveway or somewhere safe outdoors. (unless you don't value the lives of your loved ones)

A metal fire is difficult to put out. Need a class D extinguisher for lithium, which most households won't have. Lithium fires can be particularly difficult because they consist of an oxygenator and fuel. That being said, the battery technology in this hoverboard is likely to be lithium-ion technology which consists of relatively low levels of lithium metal and in a dissolved state. In this case with the relatively small hoverboard battery fire, even a water extinguisher would do. Not really to put out the fire, but to soak and cool the surrounding area so the fire doesn't spread and allows time for the reaction to end.

at the Volvo dealer, they have a special fire blanket for electric vehicles(or hybrid batteries). It's huge and heavey(60 pounds?). In case of fire, they throw it over the car and completely cover it to stop the fire from spreading... then wait for professional firefighters to arrive.

Exactly. It wasn’t just a simple restart. That was an equipment malfunction that these guys aren’t trained to work on. There’s 5-12 audio channels on average.. if the audio system craps out on one, you’ll lose dialog from specific characters or music instruments.

The way to safely own a hoverboard is don’t buy it, jk I had one and outgrow it but the safest way to charge it is only for 2 hours then you unplug it till it dies and then another 2 hours. Only way they burn up is if they’re charging.

Restart it!😂 I agree. Missing the opening scene of a story-heavy long film can ruin the entire viewing experience. You spend the next 3 hours of of the movie wondering what did I missed. Also not only you miss vital plot points but you can never experience the magic of the first watch because youve already been spoiled on the ending. This was my experience for Black Panther 2. This changed my perception of the entire movie.

I work at a movie theater. I get it, it SUCKS to pay for a movie and there is an issue with the screen. HOWEVER. Yelling at the employees to restart it, as if it would just fix everything, is not helping. Most likely they needed to call someone to come look at the projector or something, it's not like the employees can turn it off and back on. Please, if this happens to you, don't just automatically yell at the employees, they literally just serve popcorn.

I needed a new lithium battery for my cellphone and I was going to go to Verizon and have them do it. My now ex said not to because he can order the battery and do it himself. As he was trying to take the battery out he caught my phone on fire destroying it. That’s the second cell phone of mine he destroyed in maybe a year. Other time was when he stripped the bed to wash the sheets and didn’t check the sheets to make sure there wasn’t anything in it. I wasn’t happy.
