Dating is tough and these stories prove it. A Texas man tried to take a woman to court to get back the money he spent on her movie ticket after he said she left during the film. A man in D.C. planned a meeting with six women in one night, but the women thought they were meeting him one-on-one and were not happy to find out what he did. That wasn't a Karen- that was a psychopath. She didn't bail on him because she wanted a free meal. She bailed because he acted like a neurotic control freak. If my date told me to "leave the theater" bc I was texting, I would have never come back either bc that's just bizarre and weird, not to mention creepy. I mean how socially awkward can you get? Is this a date or is he her parent and she's the child?? He was bossy, controlling and domineering and the way he acted entitled enough to expect her not to send a text just bc she was on a date w/ him is enough to scare any woman away. Texting the entire date is one thing, but sending three texts at the beginning of a movie- especially on a first date when you're all alone with someone you don't know, is a completely different story and practically expected. That guy was a seriously overbearing and a straight-up type-A personality nut job. He will probably be single forever.

That happened to me, too; I once showed up to a date in a lounge, and little did I know the guy I was supposed to meet had asked two other girls to show up. Three girls and one guy, he was so full of himself, the guy left to the restroom, and that’s when we three decided to stay and make the best out of the night and then bail. The guy paid for all of our drinks and food; it was all fun n games y until the guy got drunk enough to get into a bar fight, and that’s when I was like, I’m out, blocked him, and never to be seen again ✌️

The guy complaining about his date texting at cinema is ridiculous…10 years ago, I was on a second date with a guy I met online. We went to cinema. About 10-15 min into the movie he started shaking next to me I looked at him, he had big pearls of sweat coming down his forehead, his eyes were not blinking, they looked empty and he was just staring in front of him. My heart dropped to the floor I jumped and started asking him if he’s ok in panic looking around me if someone from the stuff is there to call for help. There were not many people at cinema that evening so no one was really aware of what was happening. All this must have been for 15/20/30sec. Seamed like eternity, and just when I was about to start screaming he started slowly coming back and his eyes blinking. I kept asking if he’s ok. His response was just looking at me like nothing’s happened and saying yeah and nonchalantly continuing to watch the movie. I was shocked, my heart still beating like crazy, and I said to him how can he be ok, he was just gone completely for a while and that we can go if he’s not feeling well but he insisted, that everything’s fine. Still big pearls of sweat on his forehead. Super irritating, I didn’t know how to react from there on so I kept thinking maybe he’s uncomfortable because we just met for the second time to tell me about some serious health condition he’s been having and that he’s going to tell me later when we’re out of the cinema, but nothing. He even asked me after that for a 3rd date, I said no. I thought about it and while I can respect the fact that we were still strangers practically and that he didn’t have to tell me his health situation but that was such an extreme experience and not respectful towards me not to say anything and to ignore the fact completely that I went through such a stressful moment. Also just made him not trustworthy for me. He didn’t like the fact that I didn’t accept his invitation and kept emailing me and trying few more times till he realized that I won’t change my mind. Having such extreme experience with someone you know is scary but with someone you basically don’t know but you’re out together added more to the stress level. I hope he’s ok and wish him all well.

I had similar situation. A women I was casually dating for 3 weeks. We decided to go on a short get away down the shore. Big mistake. She paid for the room. I paid for everything else. Wasn't remotely interested in her anymore after that. So she took me to small claims court and sued me for $260 for half the room cost.
