Blizzard broke league placements (again). So many of bronze/silver mmr players are in masters, while gold/plat mmrs are in bronze. Masters are about 30% of playerbase, which is not normal.

Well, imagine your opponent transition into immortals or voidrays, which is a couple of clicks away (Build robo -> build immortals/build stargate -> build voidray). Suddenly your lack of transition makes you loose your army rapidly and you have no tech to transition to. Zerg is often described as reactive race, since you can get out many units of your choosing quickly. So making a couple of tech structures in anticipation of a switch is quite common. For example a lot of the times roach warren is placed "just in case" Zerg is in need of a dozen of roaches to defend bases. With your lack of scouting and transition you could've been dead much earlier, if toss decided to make even a couple of immortals. It's like seeing you miss incoming traffic by an inch and still insisting on crossing every road with a blindfold and earplugs...

clicking things fast and consistent is much more desirable to get into masters, than knowledge, since no amount of knowledge would save you, if you have less workers -> less eco -> less army (Lanchaster's law is no joke) and also late timings on any type of push/cheese. Then, after you get to masters with your micro and macro, you can have benefits from your knowledge gained in full.

@@tolo96643 base with each having 6 larva gives u 18 roaches. If u have 69 (nice amount) of workers u can max out on 3 rounds of injects (not even counting macro hatch and 4 bases). U don't even need no lurker viper. U be a chad and say mass roaches goes brrrrrrr. Make sure the that the protoss should complain next time.

As they say "Soldiers win battles, logistics win wars." - with additional drones you can do better tech switches, you can afford taking fights because you can replenish your losses, you can build buildings more, you can get more upgrades than just the upgrades for one unit etc. etc. Build drones as your 1st objectives to make sure you have enough resources because if you dont have enough stuff from which you can build and morph units, chances are good you wont have enough.

Yes, but currently MMR ranges are messed up on EU server. Bronze 1: 2648 - 2972 Silver 3: 1840 - 2027 SIlver 2: 2027 - 2213 ... Gold 1: 2640 - 2760 Plat 3: 2760 - 2893 Plat 2: 2893 - 3027 So technically everybody below mid plat 2 is in Bronze. I wounder how Harstem didn't noticed that.

There's bug currently where people who belong in gold are placed randomly in either bronze 1 or masters 3. I'm also in bronze, but I can max out before 9 minutes with 2/2 upgrades. My mmr is about 2800.

yo i'm diamond and this guy has better control in some circumstances than me and similar apm, ( the sieged ovie in the middle of the map, the actually pretty good roach stutter step) it's wild how his focus on control has cost him so much understanding of the game that he's in bronze still. I think a lot of us can learn something from this haha

7:07 They are not Bronze. Hamster showed a Master-Icon saying 2.700 MMR (at 2:25). There is a bug saying "You are Bronze" or "You are Masters", but actually you are Gold. I assume Tolo did not know about this bug, but with 2700 MMR you are not Bronze.

Part of the reason why bronze isn't nearly as bad as you think is because of the very low playerbase which makes for an overall higher skill floor than you remember from back in the day

Hi Harstem, You are right, this player should not be bronze. I used to be Platinum 1 in the previous season and I was actually with lower MMR. This season I am bronze and my gf who is a few hundred MMR below me is silver 1... So this guy is around the platinum range.
