Personally I think the spectre tag was added to those characters so that the datacrons for them will spread out over a couple of teams. Would be very weird for chopper to be on a GL squad, but I guess maybe if we get a new Hera it might make sense.

Ahsoka as the tank for her team is my guess, with Huge Wang as the 5th. Losing Chopper on the Hera squad would hurt. The next raid being Peridea with Mercenaries, Remnant, Spectre (Blofeld lead please), and Nightsisters seems likely with Ahsoka being one big team, Baylan the second, Aphra a third, Nightsisters (probably GMothers) 4th, and E who Nochs last. Seems likely JKCK is going in the Baylan team.

Sweetening the pot with an assault battles is only genuine if it comes with an increased frequency of assault battles. If they are just slotted into the current assault battles schedule, that is atrocious. That follows the current raid model, but in a more deceptive and underhanded way because it undermines investment and forces engagement to just get back to the status quo. Do we know if the frequency has increased with the introduction of both the two new assault battles (the inquisitor AB could also be included in that)?

Mostly driven by Datacrons or a hideously expensive GL I won’t have for years? I’m not in a position to chase things that turn over every couple of months. Fleets are always super important, but Hondo is a luxury character who is a requirement for a luxury squad. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Chopper getting the spectre tag may be to facilitate a new Hera. The new Hera kit might have a specific call out to give him some stat boosts or to make his taunt permanent etc. Then they'd be a duo on the new Ahsoka team. In actuality, I don't want this to happen though. Phoenix are actually relevant (finally). If you take chopper out, they lose the cooldown reduction and their assist loop won't be so consistent anymore.

Spectre is the 'updated' Phoenix. Chopper gets the tag because CG doesn't do multiple versions of droids. Next year we could get marquee events to upgrade the remaining 3 Phoenix (Zeb, Hera, Kanan have titles not currently used in game). Since AT Fulcrum gets the tag (she's has a role in the show) Chopper will likely stay with Phoenix as the rest of Spectre gets released.

@Iron_Sheep good point about them not doing multiple versions of droids. IG11 is as close as they've come so far. My idea of making him part of a potential duo with new Hera (or even just a call out in her kit like Leia has for R2) was in reply to X's comment that chopper's stats aren't good enough to be on a GL's team. I agree that his current stats aren't, but as he is Hera's droid (and with rumours of a new Hera), there are ways around that.

I kind of hope chopper is great with ahsoka, even though he’s a pretty big piece of the current Phoenix team. Mainly because her main team being made up entirely of new marquees sounds terrible lol but with the confirmation of general Syndulla and huyang it seems that’s gonna be the case. Even jabba has one legacy character on his team lol one GL with 4 brand new marquees is crazy. She better be good with how expensive she’s panning out to be
