You also need to use the gaskets each side and the problem will go away, found this out about 45 years 😮ago, shit I'm getting older and I do miss my 351's in the workshop.

That thing run ordinary fuel I imagine? Just wondering? Could there be any reason to build excess heat? Lean combustion perhaps? Excess heat often wreaks havoc on intake gaskets. Just a stab in the dark.

Why use a 3D printed part on something needing that kind of reliability? If it's not 3D printed then why does it look like it is.

@@MeatballGarage it can be advertised as a gold bar for me, it looks like a cheap product for a premium price to me. Obviously not fit for purpose and you can see that from how it was when you threw it away.
@@MeatballGarageI know the part, used them for 40+ years. Always put a gasket top and bottom of them. They used to be sold as a "spacer gasket" to stop issues with fuel vapour due to heat transference.

Autolits are literally trash, The last time I used them, after 3k miles on a set of plugs the ground strap on one of the plugs for no reason broke off the plug and scored the sidewall on a 14k dollar engine.

Mate the lest of my worries with this thing is plugs. Need to nail the carb tune up first otherwise no matter what plugs are used they will come out fouled up to the shizenhousen! 🤣
