Thanks for another great set of play-along maps! I only outscored you on the USA map - but was close on a couple others - including the Japan map - loved the Japan and Oman maps for their opportunity to learn new info. The very last location was right city but def not in the right place, however, since it was unofficial that's no huge surprise. Looking forward to the next one!

15:17 - A few tips for going Western Australia: The red dirt was the main clue I used, but after that game, I looked up the licence plates of Australia and the current one for WA is quite recognizable with a blue stripe along the top (can be seen at 14:41).

The road lane at 8:06 is common in the US and is called a Center Turn Lane, or more officially a Two-Way Left Turn Lane. You must use caution when entering that lane, slowing down and signalling, so head-on collisions are rare. If two cars do want to enter it you use common sense, and cars already in it have the right-of-way. That lane is only for turning, you can't drive straight on it. The center turn lane is used to allow one to wait on traffic before turning left without simultaneously restricting the traffic going in your own direction, increasing the throughput of the road. It can also be used for safer U-turns, and also for entering the road when traffic may be clear on the left (nearest lane) but still busy on the right (far lane) ... you can enter the center lane and then wait before merging into the rightmost lane, again with caution and alertness.

I played a bunch of Oman and the coverage seems to point to different areas being covered through different seasons, so that is sth to look out for. And the Mountains near Salala are higher up and have some greenery, opposed to the mountains close to Muscat that are dry and pointy. And the Middle is sandy. The island is blurry and grey, and the enclave in UAE is very distinct due to most of it being a road along a coast. I didn't find The Balanced Oman Map to be really balanced. I'd suggest playing other Oman maps to practice.

Blue pentagon signs in the US are typically county highways. Iowa ones are easy to spot because they're always a letter then number, like W40. They also go in order from N-S and W-E alphabetically.

On the Florida round, there were a ton of pine trees with the branches starting halfway up the trunk, and very skinny ones. These are unlike the northern pines which are more full with branches, and the Florida panhandle area is littered with them. Also if you look at the reflectors in the middle of the road they are just on the outside of the yellow lines, which I believe you get in Florida and Georgia (Learned this from Rainbolt and Zig8Zag 😎). To be fair I went in southern Georgia because of the Church and lots of pine straw, just felt like Georgia.
