tldr; Intermediate map has beginner and novice metas also so you can keep learning them by repeat and not feel overwhelmed with only harder metas. Level maps are designed in a way to start with beginner map that has only most common/easy metas, then after knowing most of them people should hop on novice map(which has new "harder" metas but it also has beginner metas to keep learning them by repeat and not feel overwhelmed) and then on Intermediate map(which has beginner and novice metas also) thats why you were getting some easier metas. I was planning to do only "intermediate" metas map for more experienced players but didn't do it yet and still deciding which ones to include etc, it's gonna come soon tho. Thanks for checking it out and hopefully people find it helpful to get better:D

Perfect timing, I've been thinking of getting back into the game! Relying on car/camera takes some of the fun out of it for me personally, but still some good tips in there

I've been playing and watching videos about Geogussr for a while now, and it's the first time I've noticed the grey French bollards, but I've known about the red ones for a long time. So that one was "intermediate" for me at least.
@GeoPeter2 ай бұрын
Interesting! Now that you mention it, I guess they are rarer than the red ones 😄

FYI, you can find octagonal poles in Guatemala too. I was recently there. Might be useful if you have the car blur script on. 🤷♂️

Agree totally about car meta. I think the game would be better if no Google "placed" imagery was there e.g. cars, copyright, broken sky above you, chase cars, camera heights and probably a stack of others.

True, but I think it's impossible to avoid that 😢

The "exact locations" map is similiar but it is tied to wikipedia and gives information about that building or location, it's not geoguessr specific which is nice.

You wish geoguessr was without car metas, or the maps I am making to not include any car metas because you don't wanna learn them at all? If second I can probably add some maps without any car meta tips, if it's the first thing that I cant do anything about it :p
@t20i1h5u232 ай бұрын
@@trausi Well both, I like to play for the geography/infrastructure metas and think they are far more rewarding/useful to know than knowledge about when google drove around what car. But a map like this one but without car/copyright/cam gen tips would be fantastic!

I think it's important to understand that your rating will fluctuate and that's ok. You can't get better without practicing and your current rating won't always accurately represent your skill level :)
