I laughed when you had trouble figuring out how to use the insta-pot, I can only imagine what my Grandma would've said about such an invention, she always used flour, salt, and pepper, then fried that ground hog in a cast iron skillet, which I now have since she passed!!!! West Virginia here, and cantaloupe is the best bait for ground hogs. Take one quarter cubed and put it in the trap then use the seed mix you scooped out and drizzle between the the hole and the trap. they will follow the drizzle right into the the trap. and cover the trap with tree/bush branches not cardboard. Works every time i have relocated at least a dozen with this method.
