Outplaying hackers isnt unheard of in SoT, but its not very common. The game is very heavily dependent on game sense, but frankly these cheaters were the most braindead players I've ever seen. They were just simply playing terribly even with all the hacks on. Theres really just no excuse for them not to have permanently boarded Hitbo and not to have killed him dozens of times over. In regard to confirmation, SoT usually gives you a notification upon login if your report led to action taken against a player.

SoT does not care about cheaters. They havent even bothered to add report system in-game. And they ask for players to prove cheaters are cheating, because they as developers do not care to.

Also this is Xbox we're talking about - if you could just in-game report anyone for any reason, they would be flooded with hundreds of thousands of false reports a day. Aside from chat logs, theres really not much they can do to go back and investigate cheating accusations after the report comes in. Its really not too much to ask for some small amount of proof with your report.

​@@merylsmith5305 What does X-box have to do with anything? Or any platform for that matter? Almost every half decent online game has in-game report feature. Rust, fortnite, WoW, DoTA. They also get thousands of report a day, and its not expected they will manually review them all, thats why your report feature must have automated features to check the player for suspicious activity, and to store reports to flag them for review if they are reported often. And FINALLY, literally years after they should have added it, better late than never. And it IS much to ask. I dont know you but I dont record every minute I play. And by the time you realize someone is likely a cheater, have chance to minimize the game, open recorder, click record, and comeback in to the game, you are either dead, sunk, or both. So they are asking you to waste 20-60 minutes of your time to sail to the cheaters, try and find them, depending how far you are, you might or not find them, the server might or not merge with another server and take them away from you before you ever make it to them, and if you make it to them...to then try and make them cheat again in a way you can record. It is THEIR JOB to catch cheaters. Not ours. I havent checked out this new report system, but the one they had in their website: - Was hard to find, some links in their website to it were broken and led nowhere - They asked for proof, yet didnt allow you to upload big files (I think size limit was 20?) So they either expected you to somehow prove cheating with a still screenshot, or in a very short video you not only had to take, but also edit down to a small format, and crop it to specifically the time where they cheated. Last time I made a report it took me like 3-4 hours of MY time to find the cheaters again, then chase them, and manage to trigger some combat so they would do suspicious stuff, record it, upload it to youtube, analyse the video, add time tags to the video showing them where they were clearly aimbotting, write the description, and send it to them. And even worse, they DONT TELL YOU the result of your report. Again, a lot of games nowadays let you know when they banned a cheater you reported. Which gives a little bit of a payback for the effort.

Okay listen here boys and girls and would-be cheaters, time for sage wisdom from an Experienced PvP lord here; I've noticed with cheaters is that they're actually always terrible players. They always have no game sense, order of battle, or naval strategy. That guy was trying to raise mast while Hitbo was pelting his ship and saw the rounds dialing in on him for the one ball, leaving no one left to save their ship. Questionable plays like that are the hallmark of a serial cheater. They never learned how to play smart because they rely so heavily on their cheats. The end result is two fold. They never actually "git gud" which then forces them to use cheats to stay competitive. And to add insult to injury, whatever progress on PvP curses or cosmetics do make on that account will most likely be banned, losing them all that progress. Its a vicous cycle. They never make progress on anything because of the imminent redbeard, and they never good enough to have a main account where they earned everything they wanted legitimately. Cheaters never win.

This is why I delete the game from my Xbox cause i realized how dirty those hackers are. You go around doing your own quest and everything but then suddenly you just get harassed by someone else without even knowing what's going on. Your boat gets sink in a way you don't know and it's because someone else is attacking it like you have no idea. i used to play with someone i met on discord who was hacking. The first day i played with him and 2 other guys on a galleon and he was pretty good but i didnt suspect anything. So we played a couple times and then i started to suspect something: he won nearly every gunfight and he his nametag kinda flew across my screen an when i told him that i had suspisions he just said the nametag lagged and he didnt have any speedhacks but it became more obvious the more i played with him and after i was 100% certain he hacked i just ghostet him and now i dont play with him anymore bcs only people without love in their live hack i couldnt enjoy the game anymore but this video is actually hilarious

chances are it wasn't even their accounts. They more than likely bought spoof accounts that were stolen which is why they didn't care. They will just buy new accounts at very cheap because the hacker got them for free so what ever he charges is already positive income and he could charge something around $10-20 for any stolen account. Hackers normally have large lists so they already make a lot of money off it at those prices. They also sell higher ranked accounts at $100-500 depending on their unlocks and cosmetic items. Yep people still do fall for those scam sites and download fake things that key log their computers you would think people would wise up or something ? Also they can steal stuff if you download free cheats even though the cheats work they 100% of the time have keyloggers embedded along side them which also can add to their lists.. Normally they also target many games and not just one so they do in fact get a lot of free accounts for many games. Lesson is nothing is ever free...and cheaters are lowest of losers.

I was doing a fof steal and was tucked at the fort near ancient spire in the tower with the ramp at the bottom so the skeles gave me away lol the people in the fort saw the skeles and shot the tower with a 3 charge trident which is actually genius as it nearly killed me lol Love the stuff you make and thanks for responding :)

I've made this point before on other videos of cheaters, and it's nice to have this clear example of it. If you cheat, you're only cheating yourself. Players who play by the game's natural rules/limitations will ALWAYS be better than cheaters, it's just an eventuality. Reason being, cheaters never actually have to get good at the game's mechanics, they don't even have a good idea of what those mechanics look and feel like. At the same time, everyone who doesn't cheat is getting better and better every time they play, and eventually their earned skill and expertise will beat out any amount of cheating. This video is proof. Cheaters are literally just stunting their own gaming ability by relying so heavily on such a massive crutch. They've robbed themselves of the learning process everyone else is engaged in. And here's the real kicker: it's exponential, from game to game. Skill in one game often carries over to the next in some way, whether it's your reaction speed or situational awareness/strategic ability. So as everyone else just gets better and better and better, cheaters live in an eternal void of ineptitude. They're slaves to their own lack of ability, to the extent that eventually they'll _need_ to cheat just to keep up with everyone else. Cheating becomes life-support.

I can't believe people actually try to argue that this game doesn't have a cheating issue. Last night, I tucked onto a ship at a FOF, another ship arrived, and fought the ship I tucked on. I witnessed both crews using speed hacks. When I realized I was in contest for the FOF against 2 cheating crews I just logged off. This isn't fun anymore.

The program they most likely use is called "Blackwyche" its an injection hack that offers exactly the sort of thing they do, aimboting, seeing players marked, also a ship/rowboat radar, loot radar, instant ladder climbing and now patched fatswimming. Insane that things like that still exist

Speedhack is patched as of new update. Another good thing is that previously rare would catch speed hackers within an hour or so in recent times. Before it took a day or 2
