Nice review thx. I have few questions about usb-c wired, first is the headphone is charging while it is used in wired mode (Bathys not)? Second, can it be used with anc off while wired in usb-c? Third and last is the microphone is working in wired mode in usb-c (Bathys not)?

I’ve tested the Apollo, Bathys and the 5909. Ended up with the Apollo. It’s chunkier than the other two but it’s more comfortable for long usage. Plus it has a detachable boom mic which has been great for conferencing. Music quality wise, I’d rank the 5909 and Apollo on par (both have music genres that they sound slightly better for, like Jazz with the Apollo and Synth for the 5909) with the Bathys closely behind. The soundstage, clarity and bass is simply crisper and clearer. I also enjoy how it sounds amazing for vocals vs the 5909 and Bathys. Overall, it was a no brainer for me being 400usd cheaper than the 5909.

I'll keep my AirPods Max. Better ANC, transparency and connectivity/feature set within the Apple ecosystem. Sound quality is subjective and no one is right or wrong on what they find to sound better.
