Idea for a hide and seek episode. Get a huge map that has 3 separate sections that are big enough to be areas on its own. Rock paper scissors and each person in order of winner gets to choose the section they wanna seek in. The players can explore their section before start. Now they start. The hiders have to go into the other seekers sections blind but will know their area nicely.

Would love to see more “Sardine” style hide-and-seek, but with the twist of “you go dead silent when you join the hiding spot”, only the original hider can keep talking and bonus points are awarded if the remaining seeker(s) go a full sixty seconds without noticing someone has gone silent. Also, if you haven’t checked out the Dornier Do 335, I think you would find it interesting as a concept to either try to replicate in Trailmakers or use the idea behind it for a dogfight. If nothing else, it’s a truly one-of-kind aircraft.

this paint ball map made me think that scrap mechanic could very well make a paint ball gun and have you able to shoot using ink as ammo in survival, and it paints the blocks it hits with the color you selected

Its easy on the frames because the mapper used bearings as connections for large surfaces like the bearings you saw in the roof. It reduces the total amount of block connections which seem to be the biggest factor in lag on these densly packed maps. Maybe

No, I think that just makes it laggier. The bearings were so you could have the 3rd person camera outside the ceiling

@@vibaj16 Actually they would be right, in theory. It's when you have a large number of bearings close together that there become issues. Paint, different block types, and other methods of making large expanses of blocks actually be smaller sections do actually reduce the overall lag of a map. It's why they were as smooth as they were for my Wild West map, because I broke it up into chunks separated by different block types.

The bearings in the roof at 7 minutes are just there to allow the 3rd person camera to pass through the roof for a better view. Very clever from the mapmaker!

I can imagine one day there will be a map with a spot that requires a specific combination of buttons hidden around the map to open, but each button also opens another individual spot.

I love these hide and seek videos, I'm even working on a map myself. But I'm starting to realize it's a bit big.. I was aiming at 200 spots and expected to hit 150.😅 Oh well, as long as it doesn't lag when it's done it should be no issue to split the map into 2 rounds.🤷‍♂️ When it's done it should be a village split by a stream and a casle wall. Don't expect it soon though! I kinda put a lot of time into the visuals so I'm probably overall only halfway done. (With less than half of the spots ready.)

Suggestion for H&S map makers. a map that ejects or catapults the seeker very fast when found a map with no switches and have sensors instead a map that that only open spots on the other side of the map (or half way to the other side)

well, it is true that you guys very rarely ever even check your ovn spot or previously used spots at all, so hiding in a spot twice could very well work, but only a couple times until everyone catches on and checks previous spots first.

day 4 of asking Battle idea with the trailmakers plane chase map using the train tracks on that map with 4 people 1 person makes a single propellor plane then 1 person makes the train engine and a money/vault cart so everybody who makes train parts just uses a flat wagon template to build on 1 person makes a gunner cart and a cargo then the last person makes a truck with a smart cannon that can pull the money cart then for the battle 1 person drives the train 1 person man’s the turret and 1 person flies the plane with the objective to destroy the engine then the other guy drives the truck with the goal to sever the money cart from the train and secure it behind a rock or smt so gunner cart cant shoot them also the train can go 100mph max and the plane 125 mph max and the truck 110mph max for dramatic effect also the train carts would be connected with magnets or smt like that i dont have trailmakers
