They are not police per sue! They are Ministry of Defense officers and their main job is to protect the building and the occupants! They do step in sometimes as crowd control and deal with tourists who step out of line and appear to become a threat to the Ministry! 🇺🇸🫶🇬🇧

@stacy5445 No, Ministry of Defence police are in fact part of the civilian police force, they are not military police...so they have the same powers of arrest as any other officer...obviously they're focus is to shoot terrorists, not arrest annoying teenagers.

@@mawmawveethat was because this young man was trying to get physically violent with someone in the crowd who was quite rightly angered by the way he was behaving . These police as Stacy stated ar not civilian police and have limited powers ( apart from arresting idiots) However they would then have to wait to ha d them over to metropolitan police taking them away from their main work of protecting all in that area and the buildings from terrorism. Chances are the idiot in question was let go after a good talking too. Hope this helps

The difference between the Kings Guards and non military men and women of their age is a chasm between seriousness maturity and the realisation that their lives lived in the right way will make a difference to the world. But for young people who are non military it’s what can the world give us, what can I get out of life, I owe the world nothing. This is a general observation but young people in the army sadly put their lives on the line and have the maturity to realise that their lives make a difference in the world but they do not know to what extent. For those who believe in God when they meet their Creator and their Saviour they will then see what a difference for good their lives have made to so many people. It’s past my bedtime here. The poor guards put up with it because if they said anything or moved a whisker out of place they are the ones who would be punished by the military. Not the jerks who should be made to spend a few weeks in the military & maybe they’d show a bit more respect!
