I have 100,000 matches played and 8,000 hours of Smash Ultimate. I have the entire cast in Elite Smash, have 100% the game, and sometimes just use the music feature which may have inflated the hours a bit. It is pretty much the only reason I have Nintendo Online. It is the most cost-effective video game. Buying the game and all DLC cost $163, so it costs $0.020375 per hour or $0.489 per day to play. Truly a great value. A nickel a day to play this game? There's a lot of people with high hour counts who purposefully play bad online for fun, I guess. I've encountered a few before. Also of course sometimes accounts are shared and the person that you're playing against might not be the person that got the game's playtime up to 7000 hours.
@AWanderingSwordsman Жыл бұрын
After seeing people in bronze (now iron) in league with over 10,000 games played (so at least 5k hours) I've learned hours spent does not equal results. Anecdotally I've put like 10k hours into the monster hunter series but I'm not significantly better now than I was 15 years ago. The games don't get harder so you hit a ceiling of how far playing the game normally will get you and I don't have interest in speedrunning or naked runs so thats really all there is to it. I've also noticed in league that a lot of people that get really good do it pretty quickly. It's not always right at the start but something just clicks and they suddenly shoot up from silver to master in the course of like a year and maybe 500 games (approx 250 hours). It's wild how much difference simply being mindful of whats happening and critically thinking about things that happen in a match makes.

5:11 So I looked up how many days is 7,000 hours, and um... it's 291.667 days. Now, that might not seem like a lot in gamer terms, but think about this; that's almost an entire YEAR of playing! So that means this person has either played *a lot* throughout the (almost) 5 years that this game has been out, OR, this person bought the game on the first of one year and has not stopped playing one bit, but leaving the Switch on with Smash running when they go to sleep or go somewhere else.
