Im personally running a version of the necro team and 100 hp and 156 spd survives Tera ghost asteral while the normal spread doesn’t. Don’t know how relevant that is anymore. For ursaluna you want 140 hp investment for optimal burn dmg imo and dump the rest into spd. For necro I get why u want as slow as possible but I used a modest one to Ohko the slower incin’s with meteor beam. It can get your opponent of guard. But great video!!!

Thanks for the advice, I can definitely see why changing them a little bit would make some sense, as someone that isn't a TR player, when I play it I just tend to max HP unless there's specifics I'm calling for. Glad you enjoyed it

Japan always has an interesting take on the regulation. I think it's because their tournaments require both best of 1 CTS and best of 3 OTS. I've seen some streams with bulky support flutter mane with fake tears and thunder wave and even an ursaluna BM with yawn.

What's the relevance to having a HP number ending in 9? Watching this alone has really helped my EV spreads (I'd love to see a video dedicated to EV spreads and playing around common builds etc) I was unnecessarily maxing out stats and wasting EV's. Although my biggest takeaway from this was that CLEAR AMULET BLOCKS TRICK ROOM?!?! Imagine playing competitive and not knowing this 🙃 What's your favorite team out of these? I'm waiting for someone to find a niche for Mewtwo and build a better core than I've been able to make. Good to see Iron Valiant (my partner for Mewtwo) and Umbreon get some love. I guess I'd pick one of those two by default 🤘💜

@@amrajdhami9293 You're right, it absolutely wouldn't 😂😂😂 I misheard something around 13:39 and must have been thinking of the Covert Cloak... But even then it only protects from damaging moves. Ignore me, I'm clearly low ladder for a reason 😂

Since Pokemon rounds down having a 9 is the most efficient for lorb chip while having the most hp. For example, if a Pokemon has 199 hp it will take 19 recoil damage but if it's 200 it's 20.

The relevance of an HP number ending in 9 is that it means you'll have a 1 HP difference when losing or gaining 1/10th of your HP. This is most relevant with the life orb as you'll be able to give yourself some marginal bulk without losing it right away. And yes, that 1 HP has come into play many times over the years. For that Rillaboom I imagine it was trained to use Life Orb, but the player just swapped to a different item around the last minute.

That covered it well for the HP stat, my favourite of the teams would be the Kyogre, in a sucker for the big fish. I do plan on making a dedicated video to how to EV mons, just trying to figure out how I want to present it. As for Mewtwo, the coolest team I saw was a dozo teamz where the tatsu dies to toxic orb, then Mewtwo comes in and steals the boost why psych up
