Here is what I found after some searching through Korean Media: 1. People are stating that these boycotting is happening in Korea, but I'm not seeing it on the search on naver and google, there only a few articles to inform the boycott in Israel. People are also stating that there is a big protest for Israel in Korea but from the 1 video that I found (looks like it's only a one time thing or the one that is known are only one) the majority of protester are Palestinian that lives in Korea and there is also a protest from Israeli (also majority is Israeli) condemning hamas. It looks like they are trying to get the media attention instead of the government attention. 2. The Korean goverment has good ties with Israel, but seems like they never state to side with anyone and is neutral (or not) 3. I've seen majority of korean in comments (from korean news that are full korean non english at all that are explaining the situation of the war in 10+ hours video) that actually against Hamas so they are supporting israel (some are even blaming hamas because they start it). Looks like korean are really divided in this matters but most of them still against hamas. If they support Palestine they just want Palestine to be independent from Israel but still against hamas 4. There are ongoing boycott for Japanese products in Korea, and the owner of starbucs korea (the son of shinsegae if i'm not wrong) have some ties with japanese or supporting japanese imperialism (i've read it days ago kind of forgot) so some Korean boycotting starbucks and some says this is the reason why starbucks paying lots of idols to promote their brand. 5. The idols that are deleting their post are probably the one that are not paid. not all idols actually covering for brands that aren't paying them. They usually promote on Instagram post so instagram story, live, weverse is sometimes can be just a normal use. cmiiw So yeah there is a very high possibility that idols themself don't know about these boycott.

Imo I'm not really sure what my stance for mcdonalds but starbucks getting boycotted after knowing the reason is kinda unreasonable. it's not like they provide anything, looks like they want to stay neutral but the union acting like starbucks (by using their logo without permission) to side with Palestine and these company has less ties with the israel branch to begin with. and hearing that some branch already closed down means that some people lost their jobs. feels like, trying to help a further friends but also tacking down the ones closer. why not just donating to the Palestine so they can get it faster. And it starting to feel like this boycott is trying to use reason like "it's a us company, us is supporting Israel" at this point people should just stop using social media cause most of them are under us based company like google and here we are with youtube and istagram

1. there have been countless protests against israel in korea i just googled it and it's all there so idk what you're talking about 2. there's a huge backlash against israel from both the people and the government because of the actions of the ambassador in korea which only escalated after they released a propaganda video that only backfired on them after ppl called them out on their bs. it's all over the news everyone and their gradmothers know about iy. 3. being against a group doesn't mean they're supporting a gen0sidal state, they're against israel as it reminds them of the japanese occupation they suffered under years ago, the people of korea even understand that no hamas despite their attack DID NOT start the war as it has been ongoing for years 4. the koreans have joined the rest of the world boycotting brands supporting the gen0side starbucks is only one example 5. there are no unpaid posts let's not kid ourselves, the ad laws in korea are super strict you can only post a brand if you're directly sponsored by them. they're only deleting them because of the backlash they have rightfully received it's so obvious that it was an ad campaign since so many idols posted photos of starbucks at the same time. even if they didn't see the news and the protests on tv which i highly doubt some of these idols have such a strong social media presence they are chronically online so there's no chance they didn't know.

@@lynna.r7772 then let me ask your opinion, what output do you expect from this war? as I said from that many idols some are just accidental thats why they can delete it. company usually don't want to breach contract so thats why some still have the post. and as I said i've been searching using naver (korean google) and only saw a BDS in a forum that only have less than 10 comments, media only cover boycott in other countries like Israel, and Malaysia

The protest against terrorist regime israel was NOT A ONE TIME THING in Korea, and let’s say they were conveniently blind to the protests, how could people who claim themselves to be international stars not know a worldwide crisis happening in the world? Do they live under a rock and then magically appear when they need to perform? No! It's high time that kpop celebs show some personality! What are they? Money making machines with no mind of their own, slaves of their contracts and public image everything that they hate, are they complete image of what they deny to be? People are being laid off their jobs for voicing their opinion, these ordinary people are also held by their contracts, they are showing some spine and responsibility... Western celebs are being cut off of movies, brand deals and yet they are voicing their opinion... Kpop celbs have already been cut some slack for not being picked upon for remaining silent throughout this genocide but they have to go ahead and sign contract deals with these genocide enablers... Evry person on his own... No fun in hating anyone but it is clear now what everyone has to do... Simply not listen or support these people at all.

At the end of the day the war is still going to move forward and Starbucks will still be walking with millions from those who don’t get in too deep with the war. Why can’t these crazy fans actually go to Israel and fight the war since you all want to bother these idols. How bout fight war and actually do something significant and meaningful for peace.
